Quick question, though I don't do Nyzul yet: If you have a Runic Key, does the 100F disk still get cleared?
yup
Probably a noob question I missed an answer to somewhere, but has the runic key been confirmed to have any kind of use? Or is it just useless still?
Upon taking your disc to 100 again, and having a runic key, the weapon for the job you are currently playing will drop 100%.Originally Posted by RKenshin
Do they have to stay in and get their thing wiped? Or can they warp out and still have it drop 100%?Originally Posted by fallenleaf
No runic key, no warp: Random weapon, 100% head drop (1/3 chance of each head)Originally Posted by Not Kuno

Runic Key, no warp: Guaranteed weapon of that job, 100% head drop (1/3 chance of each head I think, but I suppose that could also be based on job, I wouldn't know)
Runic Key, warp: Guaranteed weapon of that job, low head drop chance
Awesome. My static needs 4 Wightslayers and 2 Windslicers. Thankfully my girl and I are both BLU and SAM lol.Originally Posted by Suiram
I'm a bit dumb, so please allow me to understand better.
Let's say disc holder is RDM, on 100th floor he warps away when NM is say at 5%, we kill and RDM sword drops, he retains his 100th floor disc.
We get another tag, he swaps to his SCH, does the same stuff as before, then SCH weapon will drop?
I'm talking of course about when discholder already has the keyitem you get the first time you complete 100th floor.
Also, does the treasure pool remain once you are warped out of the assault? In other words, can the person with the disk warp out to his HP in Whitegate then run back and cast lots on an item if he needs it?

So that would mean that the person who has the Floor 100 Disc can't lot anything from floor 100 without losing memory yes? Or am I missing something here?Originally Posted by Suiram
Should be fine for either of you really. Each Floor100 attempt costs 1900 tokens. Each exit of Floor100 (with the warp person gone, of course) is 1365 tokens. So yes, you can exit on Floor100 after you win with the discholder that zoned you in out of the area (my other discholder never touches the rune to exit though, out of fear it'll glitch and reset his disc lol). If you have an assault armband for entry...that's probably a 10% token bonus, which is like 1500 tokens.Originally Posted by Callisto
What my group does is have 2 discs with Floor96 save, do 4 Floor100 runs on Thursday nights, and have each discholder take turns and warp out twice. This allows both people to have a chance at gear, and also accrue some points since like your group one person has high points and one person has low points. So...Discholder2 gets armband, enters, Discholder1 zones us to Floor96, get to Floor100, Discholder1 warps out during battle, beat the boss and exit the assault. Then Discholder1 gets armband, enters, Discholder2 zones us to Floor96, gets to Floor100, Discholder2 warps out during battle, beat the boss and exit the assault. We repeat that cycle again.
-- Out of the 4 runs: Discholder1 loses 1900, then gains 1500, then loses 1900, then gains 1500. Same for Discholder2, except vice versa alternating the points.
-- Net loss of 800 tokens per warper for the night, assuming you win and exit (w/o the discholder who zoned you in) on Floor100.
If you have extra time, you could always continue on to Floor1+ and gain extra tokens before exiting, but that's up to you and your time.
Edit: Fixed armband/zone wording, thanks to Slott.
Correct. That's why most people get 2 discs with Floor96 saves in order to be "fair" and allow alternating discs so that at least the discholders have a chance at gear occasionally. Shitty for the discholders, but a helluva lot better than spending 20 more assault tags getting to the top each time.Originally Posted by Tsutsumiko

Person 1 gets armband, zones into nyzul. Person 2 zones PT to 96, and warps prior to boss death. Next run, person 2 zones in with armband, person 1 zones up to 96 and warps.
That's why I'm one of the discholders for our group: I don't want any of the headgear. Of course, now I may want a weapon or two, but if it's that important (and I feel like comitting to the upgrade process) we'll just work it out so that I get it as a 100% drop. The other discholder is similarly uninterested in headgear.Originally Posted by Pninja

Something I haven't seen answered I'm curious about. If the disc holder logs out before the floor100 boss dies, then logs back in after the boss is dead but before the pt exits, what happens?
Even if your disc gets wiped it might be worth doing if you have something like vent, so you could log back in if the head/weapon you want drops.
the disc will still wipe if your disc holder logout. Since that when the disc holder login back, he/she will still inside the nyzul zone.
Hmm... <,< >.> <,< This could seriously become a Nyzul weapon selling business if you took a disk to floor 100 twice on an account with a lot of jobs.
Speaking of which, is there a minimum level limit for Assault? If your group was good enough to complete it with 5, could you have your sixth member come as a level 37 THF/BLM or something and just wait at the porter? If so, having a disk at 100 the second time would let you pretty much pick and choose your weapons from all the jobs, not just the disk holder's 75s.
