This is how POL has been since day 1, this POL is Slow compared to the other one.

The new POL dosent come back ; ;

I've had it happen to me before but i don't remember what caused it ; ; i just restarted my computer and it worked fine after that. Don't know if that will help though :3

I may be wrong, but your display may be set to 16-bit instead of 32-bit, my old computer used to randomly change mode sometimes. Control Panel > Display > Settings > Color Quality

Nope, you can download the Vista version of the POL client from the playonline.com website now. I know you are running, XP, but it should still work anyway.

Sounds like a video card driver problem.

Probably is a video card driver, just uninstall and reinstall your drivers. That should do the trick, or if you recently updated them, rollback to the previous version.

Certainly does look like a vid driver problem as the thing is dithering the otherwise translucent textures, meaning it's trying to process all that crap on a software level.
(and jeez, you got an ancient video card...)

I got that problem when my video card wasn't plugged in tightly. It could even be dust. But yeah it's the video card

go to start, run, type in dxdiag go to display and make sure directdraw and direct3d are enabled, if they aren't do so, if they are, disable, reboot, enable, reboot and try pol again.

Although you don't need to reboot that many times, play it safe.
