SSBM question.

I loaded up SSBM the other day just to mess around with ness. And noticed at the character selection screen that there are these blue & green "Rare™" logos by every characters name. (Now I remember I got these little icons upon completing storymode/etc.)

What do these do? Also whats the difference between blue and green?

Is this in one of the single player modes? Pretty sure that's the difficulty you've completed it on with that character if so.

The blue and green rare company logo/icons are only showing in single player story/home run contest/etc.

Yea difficulty pretty sure.
Green - Easy
Blue - Medium
Red - Hard (I think)
