Is it safe? & Haze Demo (PS3)

To put your PS3 up on it's side? I'd really rather keep it that way since the vent in take on the right side is facing the wall. If I face it upwards it has access to much better air and better ventilation but my question is. Is it safe to do it this time around?

I mean on PS2 you'd hear things about the disc being wobbly and messing up the lens. Just wondering if that is an issue to be concerned about now.

Pretty sure its safe now, or they would have abandoned the design. PS3 also doesnt have the disc tray like the PS2, so I'm guessing the disc is more secure when its inside.

Wait, huh? My ps3 and 360 have been standing vertically ever since I got them.

Also, the PS2's design was shit. The PS3 sucks the disc in, doubt there's any problem.

Disc feeds are much more secure than disc trays. They don't rest on anything, theres a wheel that goes through the center and holds it exactly where it needs to be.

Position it however you want.

Mine has been vertical for as long as I've owned it. The only thing that really matters is that you place it somewhere where it will have good ventilation.

Er...disc trays do the same thing; the spindle picks it up a few millimeters off the tray whether it's horizontal or vertical. If your shit breaks, it'd probably have broken no matter which way you have it sitting.

Vertical or horizontal it's fine. I prefer mine vertical since it hides behind my tv.

It's pretty awesome... It probably won't hit AAA title status, but it's a release day purchase for me.
