Yeah, mine is like that, too. For some reason, brightness and color seems to be accurately reflected, but fine edges and exact pixels are not.
I output FFXI to it last night at 1920x1080 and the text looked like total ass. It was fuzzy as all hell.
Try 1366X768. Also try editing your windower settings to reflect a common resolution, I'd also not advise 1920X1080 unless your TV is 1080p, heard it makes it look shit so that might be your problem but I don't have a HDTV to test so take it as you will.
