    Re: Jailer of Fortitude

I always wanted to Duo this, so I've farmed a few pop sets but haven't really read much about it.

It'll be most likely me(RDM) and another friend of mine (RDM), both have W.Legs. I understand we gotta disband party have 1 pop it the other Chainspell gravity the 2 helpers, then the one who grabbed the helpers has to run and zone. What zone does he have to run to tho? Zone all the way to The Grand Palace of Huxozia?

Where does the RDM pulling JoF have to pull it to?

I tried doing this to help someone that I really don't know, he popped it and had told me to gravity one of the helpers he gravitied the other then got hate on JoF again and told me we both had to run to the zone. Problem was I didn't really know my way around so kinda got lost he didn't have Movement Speed+ so JoF killed us both and some1 stole it the second we died. So that didn't work out so well.

So do we both have to zone? Or if we don't where does the person kiting JoF have to bring him to?

Once we are back together in a party where do we continue to kite him and kill him?

Thanks for your time, much appreciated.

    Re: Jailer of Fortitude

I never did it the gravity method, the first time we were going to try to separate them I r0ed on pop and had to just run away, I zoned it and our group pulled JoF, we never saw the ghrahs again..and I figured why fix it if its not broken, been doing it that way every since, haven't failed yet (20~ jofs)

edit: outside party, someone with +movement can indefinitely survive fort tho

Will fort continue to reflect spells after they are split up until the ghrah wander back and depop? Will he continue to reflect them after they depop?

Typically I'd have the one pulling the adds run to the teleporter and zone up when they get close, then have the person on JoFort just bring him into the circle room and kite him around there.

Yes he'll still reflect, I'm not sure if the adds actually depop or if they just sit at the spawn point until he dies.

They wait at spawnpoint until he dies, if some asshole decides to drag them to wherever you're fighting they'll reaggro and most likely wipe you or force you to unclaim fort <_>

Edit: Step by step for RDM solo on fort(Cuisses required)

    1. Use a pair of powder boots, wait for the delay, activate chainspell.
    2. Pop it, gravity both ghrahs, head toward zone to hux'zoi(Note: don't get too far ahead of fort, keep it in range.. the boots are optional but a nice precaution if a ghrah starts with sleepga)
    3. Wait at zone until fort is very close to you, zone out.
    4. Zone back in, reclaim fort, bring to a different tower from the one you popped it in. Bio/poison kite around the square room, nuke when you have spare mp.

If you're duoing, just have the other rdm stay with fort and claim it when you zone out(and obviously you can get a bit more nuking in while in the square room).

Out of curiousity, when you take him to another tower ditching Ghrahs that aggro along the way is easy, but I have a hell of a time getting pots to despawn, do you actually wait them out to run by safely or just run around til they give up?

He does and I think he takes less magic damage as well? I'm not 100% sure about that though.

    Re: Jailer of Fortitude

Pretty sure it also does significantly more physical damage if you kill the ghrahs.. melee went from 400s when i had a war friend kill them once to 150-250 in the same gear when I soloed. Granted, I don't get hit by it much so anecdotal evidence etc~

Bumping this because we finally got around to our first pop today, Ghrahs were being stingy

    BLU/BLM + PLD/NIN

1 hour 10 minute kill, didn't take any physical damage from either, no hate issues, very very straightforward easy fight. Popped NE tower brough it down to W tower and killed it there, damage was Diss. Poison + Regurgitation without really any nuking gear, anticipating a 45 minute fight with proper nuking gear next pop.

Thanks for all the advice! 0/1...the saga begins.
