Sooo am I the only one excited about bratz pony 2?
Seriously FFIV going to be great i never had the chance to play it on nes?(snes?) and after watching a couple of trailer i can see its going to be a big game for ds.
lol no no, what I meant was GTA IV is using the whole "IV" campaign as in everyone knows what they are referring to by just saying "IV". And FFIV should use the same campaignOriginally Posted by Exoduso

I can't wait till I get the Farah clothes...
is teh ffIV supposed to be just like the game but with the DS/type improvements etc... or is it going to be changed like 12 was.
i got the ff12 cause i thought it would be at least somewhat like the game and I was largely disappointed in how much it sucked.
Revenant Wings was about half sequel, half spinoff, while FFIV DS is a straight remake. RW wasn't a port in any sense of the word, it was a completely new game using the same characters. FFIV DS is the exact same game, but with DS enhancements and completely new graphics.Originally Posted by Skyylya

I wouldn't put it past them to make some tweaks or additions, though, like they did with FFIII.Originally Posted by Zosi

There's a FFV remake? Why? They already did a remake on the GBA. Also, has no one played the FFIV remake for PS? Everyone's acting like this is the first time they've re-released any of the early FFs since (S)NES.Originally Posted by Khamsin
This is only the 2nd 2D -> 3D FF remake, and the first that is a FF game that a lot of people like. FFV wasn't remade, it was ported, there's a big difference. SE implied they were going to do a 2D -> 3D of it as well, which is what they are talking about.Originally Posted by Ryushii
tl;dr version: Shut the fuck up if you don't know what you're talking about.
Sorry for not using the exact terminology, but would a remake even change much from the port? Specifically for FFV, since they added quite of bit of post-game to it in the FFV port. I'm speaking out of ignorance here, because I've only played the FFIV ps1 port, but are there really any sweeping changes besides crappy graphics?Originally Posted by MisterBob
Instead of it being in 2-d like the old versions it's gonna be in 3d, you'd have to check out ff3 DS if you haven't or look up some screenies on it. I don't think they're including some of the extra dungeons like they did on the enhanced ports, but it still looks like it should be ok, I liked the trailer they showed.
I don't think they're adding in the newer dungeons either. They are definitely not adding in the ability to use the others outside the main party like they did in the GBA version. Instead you get the ability to copy certain moves from the other characters and use them on your main party.
Voice acting will also be in, with the option to disable it. No word on if there will be a japanese with subs option available.
EDIT: Forgot that they are adding in more of the original script that was cut from both the SNES and GBA versions.
Unfortunately, I've played FF3. I honestly think I would have liked it more as just a port. I'm trying to understand the hype behind an "enhanced" version of a game we already have easy access to.Originally Posted by Tomodachi
