Re: Final fantasy crystal chronicles : My Life as a King.

So what is this game exactly? It just works like the Sims? Another thing; does it work in real time like Animal Crossing? I always start AC and play for like 3 months before getting bored, file it away and forget I have it. Then I turn it back on to find my town is destroyed by weeds. It'd suck to miss a few days and then your kingdom is overrun into shit lol.

Re: Final fantasy crystal chronicles : My Life as a King.

So I'm on day 50 and I have 5 adventurers, but no new ones have come to try out for a while. Is this normal? And I built a couple houses recently of those additional races, the ones that make good thieves and warriors (lillys and something else). I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or what gives, but it would be great if I got some new trainees.

    Any input?

Are the races still fucked up like in Rings of Fate (where the lilties attack with spoons and selkies with bows)?

That's strange. I've gotten 1 adventurer for every house that I've built (day 16, 8 houses, 5 adventurers, 3 recruits at the castle). I haven't built any of the houses for different races, though. I just got access to Spacious House around day 13 or so.

1 house always = 1 adventurer, no exceptions.

However, if their morale/heart thing is too low, they might not come out. Try talking to people and entering houses and such. You can get family info inside the houses and find out what your potential adventurer is up to.

To answer that one guy's question, no, the game is not in real time. It stops when you turn it off. The days are also relatively short.

Yea I have not had one in quite a while, and my 5 adventurers are now currently level 15-16 so am I gonna be screwed as far as leveling them up to meet with everyone else?

And I don't understand why their moral would be low, I talk to people every time I can on the street. So how can I get these potential adventurers up to the castle to be signed up? Specifically the new race ones.

Also, I'm at level 50 and only have 5 as I've said, will I need to start over bc of this?

Just in case nobody knew. The maximum number of adventurer's that can be hired can be raised by a Guild Hall.
It also gives you the option of upping their pay. Also

If you build extra bulletin boards, you can set up behests that your new recruits can take to gain exp. It won't impede the progress for your higher level guys, and eventually your new guys should catch up enough to join up with the veterans. All exp behests don't even cost anything to set up, so you won't even have that extra fee to deal with.

Some ways that you can help boost the morale would be to build things like bakeries closer to the houses that are furthest from your current one. You can try burning morale orbs to grant bonus morale to the people you talk to while it's activated (call Chime, and the option to use a morale orb will be in that menu.) Like MrBob said, going into houses to talk to people will help out, so you don't have to rely exclusively on hoping you bump into the right people in the street.

At first I was going to completely ignore this game because I thought SE was using the FF name as a cheap way to get sales, and the fact you didn't even get to fight was weird. But after reading the comments here it does sound fun, I might pick it up after all..

Re: Final fantasy crystal chronicles : My Life as a King.

This game gets pretty repetitive but god it's addicting. I'm already on day 130something after just two days of game play. My bf actually sat down and watched me play this for hours cuz it's THAT interesting.

I've been impressed with how in depth this game is as well. I'm now at the point where I'm trying to make everyone's family happy to get all the medals. Also just spent 10 bucks on some extra wii points to get the extra dungeons and races which I think is a rip off, but if you have the extra money to spare, go ahead and get the extra content. You'll be able to build more shops, etc The extra races also add some variety.

And the 2nd outfit for the king owns 8)

I really enjoy playing this game, I went ahead and bought the extras because of it, and I gotta admit it really dosen't improve the game for me. I really like the game but the addition of the races did nothing but waste my time unlocking their houses.

Extra races were worth getting just to avoid the crap shoot of trying to get thieves via behest.

Re: Final fantasy crystal chronicles : My Life as a King.

Day 130 and loving this damn game. it's so repetitive though, I'd love if they had thrown in "cut scene battles" for the bosses it was lame that I won't even get to see them whoop the shit outta the Dark Lord (well, kinda, I won't spoil it...).

Everything balances everything else so well, so you can't ignore any one aspect of the town or the adventurers. If you want better mages, you need to leave room so you can put houses by the magic schools when the time comes. If you want better weapons and armor, you have to fund research into them. if you want the adventurers to buy said new armor and weapons, you have to raise their pay. If you want the most effective teams, you have the keep their levels close and hopefully find npcs that are "close friends" so they work better. Then there's morale, extra behests, job changing and medal awards, expanding via the guild hall and adding more armor/spell options, you name it.

I seriously can't believe how much milage I've gotten out of this game, and i haven't bought any extra stuff...

Ok, so. After about 10 tries of sending adventurers to beat the boss of Bronkith Crossroads (The one that lets you build a tavern as a reward) and having them fail each and every time, has anybody actually beaten it? How? I always send only black mages in because it says the monsters in there are immune to physical attacks but my guys always come home early or get killed or whatever.

Game sure is fun, but all the adventurers are giant retards when it comes to shopping. Way too many newer adventurers seem to think its a great idea to go charge a boss without buying a fucking weapon. Never mind that my highest White Mage seems to think buying +Intellect items is a good idea.

scratch that. I sent a lone black mage in there and she mopped the floor with the boss. Finally.

So, who here has downloaded content other than the 3 race housing items and the clothing items for chime and leo? Are any of the other ones worth it?
