I don't really think getting the smash ball is so luck based. It CAN BE, but you can definatly improve at getting it for yourself I know I have. The only real problum I have with the smash ball, which is legit to the point where you could make an argument to ban it, is how unbalanced the final smashes are as compared to the characters as a whole.

I know I'm repeating this but, it's not luck based but rather removes skill from the match. There are final smashes that can't be countered and final smashes which involve no control of the player. Final Smashes are not Super moves like you'd see in a street fighter. They are hammers or pokeballs specific to the character.

And a Smash Ball is just as random as any weapon really, you can also get better at grabbing those too. ...And much like items take the focus away from attacking, defending, spacing, and planning(or in a word, the actual match).
