Get a usb powered fan for it. You could get 2-in-1 packages off ebay and they have the kind you can keep on a desk, or place on your lap so that you can play on the couch or bed.

Edit: You can also get the kind u insert into a PCMCIA slot that are USB powered that help dissipate air from the inside, but I haven't tried one of those yet.

e-Bay sellers have them for around for 6-7 bucks including shipping! I have the lap kind, but it's somewhat inadequate, the fans stop working sometimes and it can get noisy after a long enough time, despite them advertising the quietness. The PCMCIA one is much more travel friendly and cheaper, and probably more energy efficient. The lap kind have 3 fans . The PCMCIA kind must be new because if I had seen it before, I would have bought it asap.

I guess the only downside to the PCMCIA slot occupied is if you only have one slot for a wireless card, then you gotta use ethernet/dialup if you don't have a built-in wireless card. Q_Q Luckily, I have one built in and have yet to touch that slot.
