No topic on this yet, but I thought the movie was very well done, abit different from the books but was still good. Did not enjoy Prince Caspian's accent though, Peter still a badass.![]()

watched it today. was just OK in my book acting in it was a tad bit horrible. There was scenes where you can tell theres is someone in a Minotaur costume almost like they didnt really care what it looked like. outside of that it was ok i guess.
haven't seen it yet but it better be good as this or I'll be saddened:

I just got back from it
I thought that they did a really good job with it
There were a few things that were kinda bad
But the movie itself stood up to my high expectations.
I would recomend it. If you liked the first one, you'll most likely like the second one.

PS: Prince Caspain is a hottie! haha (So is Peter)
I loved those, used to watch them on the BBC around Christmas years ago.Originally Posted by Ksandra

Seeing this tomorrow, hope its good.
Went to see this tonight. The cinematography for most of it was pretty damn great, there's one shot in it that's straight out of Lawrence of Arabia.
It was pretty good. There were some parts that were meh and a bit of certain characters making stupid as hell choices, but overall I rather liked it.
On the subject of the special effects animals, it was kind of weird... Some of them looked great (Badger guy, rats, gryphons, Aslan), while some of them looked alright and moved all wrong (wolves), and some of them just looked like they weren't trying at all when they made them (minotaurs, bears in closeups). I guess with that many SE in a movie you kind of have to prioritize.
can't wait to see this
just wish they made the movies as bloody as the books were![]()
I'm seeing it tonight with my fiancee. Her cousin really wants to go and it's her birthday today and this is what she wants to know. And I still haven't seen Iron Man yet![]()
If it makes you feel any better, I've seen Iron Man three times in the theater.
Yeah that totally makes me feel better. Jerk! We even had a day set aside to go and see it. But her psychopath mother, and I'm not just saying that, she really is fucking crazy, was sick with the flu.
Now I know what you're thinking, why would we miss the movie because her mother came down with the flu? It was because her dumbass refused to go and drink any liquids and therefore became dehydrated and was taken to the hospital. So the fiancee had to go there and keep her company.
What you should do... buy your tickets for Lolarnia, and then buy a ticket for Iron Man. When Narnia starts, say you have to go to the bathroom and go sneak in the Iron Man showing. When she asks what took so long, just tell her you had the runs. FLAWLESS PLAN!
Saw this yesterday and overall it was good. There were points in the movie where the dialogue was incredibly cheesy.
It's almost too perfect.....What you should do... buy your tickets for Lolarnia, and then buy a ticket for Iron Man. When Narnia starts, say you have to go to the bathroom and go sneak in the Iron Man showing. When she asks what took so long, just tell her you had the runs. FLAWLESS PLAN!
Do it, and you won't regret it. Trust me! Nothing can go wrong.
I haven't seen the first movie, but I've read the books up through Dawn Treader. Went and saw this last night, liked it, but some of it to me felt like it had "Harry Potter" syndrome and went through the plot points very fast. They changed/added a lot from the book, as well. Still a good movie, though.
This was still kind of lame, but it was a fuckton better than the first one.
I'd recommend it.
I think these movies will be like the Harry Potter movies, in that they'll continue to get better as the characters age.
if they don't make a voyage of the dawn treader movie I am going to be super pissed off
At the panel at comic-con they said that was the next filmOriginally Posted by Demosthenes11

I thought the movie was pretty good. Some of the dialogue was indeed extremely cheesy. But for the most part the movie didn't seem like it was two and a half hours long. The battles scenes were pretty cool as well. A lot of the scenes with the minotaurs it seemed like they didn't even bother trying to make it look real. I did like how they made both Ed and Peter into complete badasses when it came to fighting. Too bad Peter's an emo king.
Susan and Peter are out of it, now, and Lucy and Edmund only have one more left. We have yet to meet Eustace, but he'll be in the next one, and then Jill after that. Then Horse and His Boy and Magician's Nephew have different characters, too, whenever they decide to squeeze them in. So we don't really get to see the same characters age through more than 2-3 movies unlike Harry Potter.Originally Posted by Therin
