Don't think a beating will matter. Kid needs help, something is wrong with him that can't be fixed with discipline.

Definitly. Beating him will only make him even more of a prick.

I'd like to test this theory by having him meet and live with my grandmother lol.

Or we could just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself.

I think we should let the worlds #1 child killer take care of this guy.... wells. Just put the chicken wings in a deep well and everyone in the neighborhood pretends they can't hear his screams for a couple days and forget about him. Even if Lassy existed the kid would be too fat to save anyway.

Protip: It's a little known fact but urban Niggas, Hoodrats and Scallywhops do indeed have a "Lassie." It goes by the name of "Deuce" and it's a muthafuckin' magical red Pitbull tied to a tree in the backyard via the clothesline. Lassie is Hollywood. Deuce is Trill.

if your grandma is a southern black lady... then god have mercy on his soul D:

Seeing stuff like this makes me wish the generation just older then I (the ones having alot of these kids) would start punishing their children more... When I was a kid, yeah I didn't like being hit with the belt, but looking back now. I know it's one of those things that helped to make me in the good person I am now.

All beating the kid is going to do is enforce the notion in his head that violence gets you whatever you want. Honestly his parents need to get him professional help asap, since he's obviously really fucked up at this point, regardless of whether or not it is their fault.

Teaching a kid morals and real-world consequences instead of just beating them is often more effective in the long run as well. I'm a strong proponent of the belief that beating a kid just reinforces violence and encourages them to take the quick way out. Don't get me wrong, kids that get out of line need to be punished, but there's more effective strategies than just beating the shit out of their ass.

There is a difference between beating and spanking/paddling/etc. You gotta tell the kid why they are being punished, what it means, etc. It isn't for the enjoyment factor >.> The reason they do these things is because they are never presented with consequences in the first place so there isn't a reason for them not to.

I'm really tired of these knee-jerk reactions whenever a situation like this crawls along, and that's the problem, it's just a knee-jerk reaction. You don't educate a kid by hitting them when you get mad, the only thing you do is teach them is to react violently when angered. Most of you calling for some corporal punishment are just reacting to the news, not really looking in deeper into it.

Anyway, most of you who say you were hit when younger for disciplanary reasons probably weren't anywhere near as bad as this kid to begin with, the situation is completely different to think that just beating the kid more will change anything.

I was hit, I was about as bad, but I never hit family. I grew out of it because the idea that there were consequences for my actions finally settled in (thanks to punishment), now I just bitch.

QFT and yes Grandma is black and from Alabama. I've seen whole tree limbs torn from trees when we almost burned down her house. I still cant recall half of that day, just remember waking up a few hours later.

Dude holy fuck, you just reminded me of this dog that was in an old neighborhood of mine on an army base in IL. It was a huge ass Beethoven dog thing, and it was mean. It also was able to break his chain. :/

This is wrong! A parent should never discipline their child with their anger, only with reason. Any kinda info out there that encourages physical discipline on children is very straight forward about this point: you should never hit a child when you're angry.

You should take a strong tone with a child, you shouldn't yell (unless you need to get their attention from a large distance) Disappointment should be the emotion you (as a parent) should convey, not anger.

Some of the things I did that got me spanked: throwing gravel at driving cars, throwing water balloons at driving cars, vandalizing other people's property, assaulting my brothers; my cousin; other children in the neighborhood; kids at school, Cursing at adults.

Yeah I didn't steal a car at 7, or attack my parents because they didn't buy me something. But that's all the more reason to teach the child consequences before it leads to far worse things.

Stratford hopes health officials can diagnose the problems and get him help, the report said.
What ever happened to kids just being stupid/crazy/just bad kids? What the ever happened to that? Why it always TV or movies or video games or his mommy didn't love him enough or everything being some syndrome or disorder?

Maybe because it is a syndrome or disorder to act like that?
