    Re: [Phoenix] Mynas (bc)

Oh lord, where to start. Don't really mean to stir up a shitfest, but I have a somewhat "unique" view on this woman.

For 6 months (abouts) me and Mynas were co-leaders in the shell "Nephilim" along with her partner. She is whiney, controlling and manipulative.

    Did I mention manipulative?

While we were all playing on phoenix, she started to get romantically involved with a person I knew, at first I thought "Good on ya!" but when I got to know her, and heard of what she then did (which was basically stringing him along for months, then saying lolno after she got through the RL relationship problems with her partner and had no further use for the care and comfort that this person gave).

That said, she's a good player at her jobs but a nasty person.

I'll disagree with you on parts here. I wouldn't say so much whiney; more, she needed to vent about things. Who doesn't? As for being controlling and manipulative, I will disagree with you there, but then, our views of this person are different, and I know her better than you.

Not *really* relevant to the BG check imo; but, I can assure you that's not quite how it ended. She's still good friends with the person in question, and that he knew what he was getting himself into.

That said, she's a good player at her jobs but a nasty person.
One of the best rdms I know of; something of a shame you never got to do Sea with us, where she really proved her skills (gogo solo Ix'aerns); and that's leaving aside her other jobs (good blm and brd, shame she never got to use ninja much outside meripo though). As for being a nasty person, I think you only ever saw the worst of her. She would never miss events, did masses of work to run the LS, and stuck rigidly to rules as a leader even at her own expense, helped run numerous LS members through CoP missions so Nephilim could start on Sea and expand on Limbus, and it really took it's toll on her, especially as many members would quit the moment they had drop X/dynamis-xarca access/sea access. She can have a temper, and she'll admit that herself; but, she can also be (and normally is) one of the nicest people I ever met; treat her OK, and she'll do the same to you.

Yeah, I know; but, couldn't expect me to keep quiet, could you? Two sides to every story, and it's not fair to hear one without hearing the other.

    Re: [Phoenix] Mynas (bc)

Oh boy, where to begin, where to begin?
To sum things up, I'd say either stay away from her or.. actually, just stay away from her.

I could write a minor essay on mynas (Sinthel), but as Doom said, you'd only get my side of the story. I will however state some hard facts if you want to know about her.

Background story is that she started dating and later moved in with what I used to consider my "best FFXI friend" who I had trusted with my login password after 3 years of playing together or so (and even meet IRL). After the Sinthel/Mynas incident we do no longer speak, his choice not mine. I can however understand why, I would also pick my GF's side over someone I only play online with.

    1. She logged on on her BF's computer, and into my account, and dropped all my AF2. I can't really remember why, but I think it has something to do with me un-sacking her since she kicked someone from our LS due to personal issues (which is not OK).

I actually let the whole AF-thing slide, since after a chat with a nice GM who knew who I was and didn't question my credibility, I got my stuff back (and yes, changed all my passwords). I know it's "my fault" since he had my passwords, but she's still the one who logged on, and dropped them. Yes, she has confessed to this.

    2. She was asked (told) to leave the LS, and later came back as Mynas, without telling anyone that she was in fact Sinthel. When this was discovered (she didn't tell anyone for a long time, mind you, you need at least 70 to join the Dynamis LS) she was booted, but couldn't really understand why. Some harsh words were exchanged as you might imagine, and she then (again, thru her boyfriends "power" or how you'd say it) sacked/crushed my pearl in one of the older LS's on the Phoenix-server which I started... urgh.

I'd had a few good times playing with her of course, she's not an all thru evil person, but she has swings like none other. If you bring her in, she will be a good player, and do what is necessary, even go that extra mile (or how the saying goes), but NEVER EVER give her any kind of power or access or any kind of status. I think that's what's making her act this bad.

She puts a lot off effort into getting things done, and if someone isn't doing the same back, she flips out, and if she's sitting on any kind of power, she will misuse it. There's also the standard paranoia that if you aren't talking to her, you're talking about her.. and only bad stuff about her.

I wouldn't call her manipulative, but there's a little block between truth and lies that really isn't there to do the job most of the time when she gets going.

Man, I wrote an essay, sorry

    Re: [Phoenix] Mynas (bc)

Her temper can sometimes flare up, but she usually cools down pretty fast and tries to set stuff right afterwards. Plays her jobs well, and you can count on her reading up on stuff beforehand, so won't be that guy/girl who doesn't know what's going on.
Wish we could've taken her in, but I'm not the only one deciding on that. Instead she took over leadership of Nephilim and, from what I can see, worked really hard to get stuff done.
I think she'd do well as a member, without the stress of leading, really deserves a fresh start imho. :3

To what madsen said : http://www.little-gamers.com/index.php?comicID=1659
Afterwards she did admit to it and tell you when she dropped it (I think?) which helped in recovering the stuff. Anyway, I'm sure anyone can make up a beautiful analogy about that, but it's better than staying quiet and doing nothing really.

Worked harder than I ever could, that's for sure. She took leadership over from me in less than ideal circumstances, and did an amazing job of keeping the LS going.

And yeah, ultimately, it's been the stress of leadership which got to her.

Yes, she confessed all, and it was resolved. As for sneaking back in, I was under the impression that Torsten and other leaders knew who she was, and had no objections. Old drama is old.

I don't have anything specific to add really... but anybody that would log into someone's account and drop ra/ex items... is someone I'd steer clear of.

mynas is very good at the jobs she plays, and is very good at the strategy part of leadership. she gets stressed sometimes tho because she's put a huge amount of time and work into her current endgame linkshell, and wants progress to be made understandably can be dissapointed. sometimes i think it's just her caps lock key gets stuck ^^

as a regular member in a ls, she'd be a great addition, though i really hope she stays on phoenix

for a shell which had many members without sky experience at the time, low manned kirin, didnt have the correct jobs to handle the mini gods chainspell or the man power to kill each mini before the other summoned. i'll take alot of deaths than a lost kirin which other of the newer shells would surely have done.

I guess your first Kirin with a fresh shell went perfect. But it was a great day, we learned a lot from that run. But it's irrelevant in this post, since it's about one person, and not even the best player can't solo Kirin, as far as I know.

It was more like 2 months during which you didn't do anything. It ended in you making a fuss, stealing pop items, selling them, trolling forums, selling all the items of the char you borrowed (and didn't level yourself) and returned without any gear. Kinda makes all your arguments null and void, Jason. It's a shame that somebody as you can have such a high status in these forums. Your masterplan succeeded tho, you made an ass out of yourself.

I dont imagine that the first time i did kirin it went perfectly (Ive only ever done "End game" in one Linkshell) i imagine that there was death, but 100+ deaths is rediculous and you'll not that part of my quote was that this person was a co-leader in that LS, so yes it is relevant IMO as it reflects upon them as a leader.

Guess we all have to be perfect from the beginning. Besides, if you've done Kirin, with 18-20 ppl, and you are unlucky with the mini-gods, you know you will have multiple wipes. I'd rather say that we did quite well in being able to defeat it in the end. Saying that it's just one leader's fault is also too easy. You are just comparing statistics now. You could also argue that Mynas is no quitter, because the shell didn't give up, even after so many deaths. And you could say that she knows how to handle herself in a dire situation. It's really how you want to interpret the data. So, yes, you quote is irrelevant, because she is not applying for a leader position in the new shell. I don't think any shell recruits leaders this way.
