uggg at Lee and Sheets being the starters this year. Maybe this is the bay area fanboy in me, but Lincecum and Duchscherer were the better starting pitchers this year.

I'll be up in S.F. this weekend for the Sat and Sun Giants-Brewers games. I'd better get to see either CC or Sheets pitch (maybe both?). I assume CC will probably pitch the Friday night game, but after his high-pitch count CG on Sunday, maybe he'll get an extra day's rest and go Saturday, with Sheets Sunday after his All-Star game start? That would be awesome.
Should have been Rivera.
Nah, he'll be on the mound for the last out. Or at least he should be. Francona is a class act though, I fully expect him to tell his boy Papelbon to take a back seat to the best closer of all time (who is also putting up numbers at age 38 that people only dream of) to get the last 3 outs.
Rich Harden had a pretty Solid Debut 5-1/3 5 hits 10 punchouts. Cubs tied NL record with most All-stars ever selected and go into the break tied with the best record in baseball with the angels. they only gonna get better when the get Soriano back next week. all in all a pretty good month for the cubbies.
Holy fuck at Hamilton. Best HR derby ever.
Breaking news: Josh Hamilton can hit the ball really far. OVER TWO FUCKING MILES JESUS CHRIST.
TOO BAD HE DIDN'T WIN LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Yeah, I know. He blew it all out in the first round.
for someone who was a washed out druggie and out of baseball two years ago, he just opened some eyes for sure in that binge. Win or lose, that was fucking impressive.
fresh off the rumor wire, my sox (white variety) have scouts looking at duchscherer, daniel cabrera, and possibly blanton as well. they also are one of nine teams looking at freddy garcia later this month, not that i hope we pick him up, the guy is done even though i thank him for '05
honestly, i think justin duchscherer's stats so far this year are smoke and mirrors, he'll break down sooner or later

I'm a giant Twins fan, but damn, seeing Justin Morneau win this derby was...
eh. And he felt the same way, heh.
Yep, he knows he didnt deserve to win, so lucky. Hamilton blew it all out in that amazing first round, I could easily see him break the RBI in a season record this year, needs 91 in second half to do it.
You have to remember, he was a reliever at that time as well. Depending on who you ask, it's easier to maintain your arm as a starter (since you know you are going out every 5 days) compared to a reliever. And remember, Lee was demoted to the minors for a good stint last year as well.
Fk ya All-Star time.
Game was fucking boring for the first hour. For all the hype it's gotten the last two days have been absolutely nuts.
Holy shit Uggla, lol. Feel bad for him, he'll never forget this shit.
fuck I want to sleep ; ; The game will never end
HOLY FUCK MIGGY TEJADA FOR THE SAVE!
Holy fuck @ Morneau not beating out. Seriously, what the tit? fuck, now Mo doesn't get the win, nice one asshole.
