I found something for Seattle fans to cheer about.

The Mariners lost 12-0 today, putting them a half game ahead (behind?) San Diego and a full game ahead of Washington for the #1 draft pick. Scott Strasbourg, come on down!

The last two times the Mariners got the #1 draft pick, they picked up a couple of guys named Griffey and Rodriguez.

Brewers closer Torres blew a 4-run lead with bases empty, 2 outs in the 9th. Now the game is in the bottom of the 12th, still 6-6.

Brewers bullpen has had to pitch 7 innings yesterday (only 1 R, from Torres in the 9th), and 7 innings so far today (4 Rs, all from Torres)

Fuck, make that 5, one from Villenueva, Cubs win. Goddamnit.

Which you only got because the closer you traded me in July blew the save.

Well two things about that. 1) If the bullpen hadn't blown the win for Harden, we wouldn't have had that situation.

    2) It was all apart of my plan! Fufufufufu. Torres hasn't been bad all year though.

No, he's been fine. Good, even. That trade worked out pretty well for both of us.

I've been slowly picking up ground in this league, but there's no way I'm going to catch you by next weekend. Maybe if there were another month in the season, but even then, it would be tough.

Starters who don't go at least 6 don't get to complain about bullpens.

Although I do like getting to throttle Notre Dame's very own Jeff Samardzija, even if it's not in football.

Yeah. even if we didn't have that issue with that guy dropping players, I don't think you'd have enough time. D: I mean Lily has hurt me more than he's helped me. Shields has been mediocre. A-Ram hasn't been bad, but I sat him today when he went 2-4. Stupid mistake on my part. I've had issues with Percival (who I dropped), and I'm close to gaining some points in SBs, saves, and wins now too. Either way, you've been doing great.

Also, I'm glad Notre Dame boy sucked. He gave me a win from that game.

So with with less than ten games left, who does everyone like in the NL? The AL spots are already set.

Out of the teams still fighting for a spot (Philly, Mets, Brewers, Astros), I would like to see the Phillies and Brewers make it.

Brewers wont make the playoffs, their falling apart, last 18 games, 4-14. Mets and phillies have been playing well. Dodgers,Cubs,Mets,Phillies will be the playoff teams.

Earlier in the week I would've disagreed with you about the Mets because they lost two games to the Braves when they had the lead then they lost the first game to the Nats which reminded me of last year's implosion where they lost every game in September to Washington. But now New York is looking strong. In my heart I would like to see Milwaukee win the wild card but I have to agree that new York will take the WC.

Hell, even the Mets have struggled a ton. They basically have one sure fire winner on their pitching staff and their bullpen is DREADFUL. Then again, the Brewers (other than Prince Fielder) are in a huge slump, and their pitching has been awful. So yeah.. I do think Phillies/Mets get in, leaving the Brewcrew outscout again. Firing Yost was a big mistake.

Yeah I dont see the mets living past the first matchup, theyll get the cubs first and the cubs will rape their faces.

Unless they win the divison, then they'll play the dodgers and I could see the dodgers beating them.

Im really pulling for the phillies and they have the kind of lineup to outduke any team in baseball. They just hurt when it comes to pitching, cole hamels cant win all their games for them.

my heart wants the southsiders to romp their way to the world series and come home with their 2nd trophy in 3 years, but if i had to actually lay my own hard money down on a winner right now, I'd take the Rays

call me crazy, but that team is on fire right now

I can't wait to see their celebration when they clinch a playoff spot.

They deserve it, they've played lights out all season, lowest paid team in MLB and they get shit done, I like them. Im gunna say Rays vs. Cubs in the series.

Man, who would people root for then? The Rays... from worst to first? Or the Cubs.. haven't won a title in 100 years.
