Who needs CC (just kidding CC we really need you seriously keep being awesome) when you can trot out shitty Jeff Suppan to pitch 5 innings of 1-run ball, and have Seth McClung to pitch the last 4 of 1-HIT ball, vs. the best offensive team in the league, who is starting their best pitcher? (5-1 victory over the cubs, combined with 6-1 loss by mets = brewers back up 1 game on the wild card)

We don't need a bullpen, we have two starters! (wtf)

Also, Yovani Gallardo came back yesterday for the first time since his knee injury and pitched 4 innings of 1-run ball, 7 Ks in the sweep of the Pirates. I hope he ramps up fast, we may need him in the playoffs. Fuck yeah Dale Sveum.

Hopefully the fish will stay strong and just take the Mets out completely.

I was at the game tonight and when the WHOLE stadium is roaring M V P it's pretty cool. I don't think there's been anyone who's meant more to his team than Howard in this month, so I'd be willing to give my vote over to him.

eah his batting average may fail, but he's taking his team to the playoffs, I dont wanna say single handley but you cant argue with those numbers. I like pujols and howard, but gotta say howard this year.

I may not like them, but they're a fun team to watch. I hope they make the ALCS so the Sox can get some revenge.

On a little side note: I've been a huge Scott Kazmir fan since he came into the league. Since the Rays have sucked for so long, there was no harm in rooting for him in the past. I've really felt bad for him in his last couple of starts. He seems to be the only guy on the team who is letting the pressure get to him, and I just wish that it was happening to someone other than Kaz.

and it's official, Boston has to open in Anaheim thanks to a good old fashioned drubbing from the Yankee's. Kinda sucks the best series is only going to be a best of 5 though for the AL playoffs this year.

Wow... Angels took the long series against the Sox, which means 3-man rotations. I thought it was going to be a great series when it was expected that the Angels would take the short series. I think the Sox have to be favored in a 5-game series with 3-man rotations. If the Sox take one of the first two games, then the Angels effectively lose home field advantage unless they win in Fenway. I shouldn't have to go over the Angels' recent post-season woes in Boston.

So, I was really fucking pumped when the Twins swept the White Sox, especially after that badass third game. Like, holy shit this race is awesome, so close! All my boys gotta do is beat the Royals! FUCK YEA!

And then both teams lose twice to losers. The race is still very close, but it lost all of its excitement. Maybe it's time to just flip a coin. Seriously, the past two games have been such a face in palm inducing letdown.
