Blanton has had bats to bail him out is all I'm saying. Having Blanton in there will eat up innings but he does give up a bit of runs, so we need to remain strong with the hitting in his starts.

I think the bats will come alive. Dave Bush is the perfect opportunity for Utley and Howard to get back in sync at the plate up against a mediocre righty. Burrell is playing nursing a sore back and hasn't been very clutch leading up to the post season anyway. The guys you expect to come up big against lefties (Werth, Victorino) have in a big way.
I really do feel for Brewers fans. 26 years is a long time to wait for a post season berth.
I wouldn't call the Dodgers a subpar team. They have excellent pitching and a pretty strong offense.
IMO, the Cubs have statistically better pitching and better pitching depth. Ted Lilly isn't a bad pitcher, and he's their #4 guy? The Dodgers have had some struggling pitchers, wanted to acquire Maddux I'm sure for the experience, and all that. Dempster was nearly unbeatable at home in the regular season, Harden is probably one of the best pitchers in the Majors when healthy, Lilly as I said is a good #4, and Zambrano was Zambrano. The thing is, Big Z has been struggling like crazy in the last couple weeks after his no-no, Dempster was too pumped up I think in Game 1, and couldn't find the strikezone at all, and so on.
As far as offense goes, before Manny got there, people didn't mind facing that Dodgers lineup. Let's get that straight. Russel Martin, Andre Ethier, Matt Kemp... all stars/developing stars, but not really that scary. Now throw Manny in there? Yeah. Now it's a good line-up that's well rounded.
Either way, I don't think the Dodgers are subpar right now, but at one point in the year, they were. If the Diamondbacks didn't completely forget how to hit a ball, the Dodgers might not be here right now.
Dice-K falling apart! >.<
At teh seams lol.
Fucking shit ass fucking cubs. God damn it.
That's one thing about Daisuke. He always bends, but never really completely breaks.
This always seems to happen. Team A blows their chance to really tack on, and Team B immediately follows up with a couple runs to tack on to their own lead.
Yeah boston is lucky the sox are lucky they only gave back one, seems everytime they get into a bind the end of the angels lineup always leaves runners on.
Edit: tex on 2nd, vlad on 1st time for the bottom of the order to fuck up.
bases loaded 1 out and they get 1 run on a walk, the bottom of their order fails once again.
Well tie game.
Tied game off of a Tex sac-fly. Seriously. Just let Tex and Vlad bat every time. PLease?
I know right, tex is 3-3 with 3 runs and an rbi, vlad is 3-4. Their playing great, the rest of the lineup besides Chone not so much, angels bottom of the lineup is horrific.
Wow, all those saves amount to jack shit now.
And that, my friends, is why Boston is ok with J.D. not playing for 3 months.
Yep. It's over now. Paps just needs two more outs and this series is basically over.
All 4 series' are going to be sweeps!
