Jamie Moyer is all about patience and location. If he's got an umpire behind the plate who's calling the pitches he wants then he has a lot of success since most hitters (especially young) have a tough time waiting for the pitch they want and end up getting themselves out.

Rays jumped all over the unbeatable Lester there. Upton and Longoria hit long ones.

Intentionally walking Manny in the first inning. Show some fucking backbone there, Philly.

Phillies win tomorrow behind a strong outing by Hamels. Sorry Media, Manny and the Sox aren't going to be having a reunion this year.

Apparently the reunion won't be making it on either side!

I want them to lose tomorrow, but I don't. Having tickets for game six sucks, cause I'd rather them win the series early but I'd love to make it to the clinching game at home.

Yeah I get to work another game if they lose Wednesday...but right now I just want them to hit the World Series I couldn't care right now.

Both games were awesome. Dodgers/Phillies tight.. Rays destroyed Lester.

well, the umpires up through game 4 have had an expanded strike zone, exactly what Moyer needs to get those pitches on the corners. yet he still got rocked. and while i agree that young hitters have a hard time against him, there are plenty of vets on the dodgers. Torre took out Loney and put in Garciaparra. when you have veterans hitting the ball early on him, it makes it that much easier for the young players to follow suit.

and Matt fucking Stairs. the way he hit that ball made it seem like the cover would come off like in The Sandlot.

I can't believe how bad DO has looked this postseason- I'm ready for him to be bumped down a notch or two in the lineup & getting Bay up earlier, I just hate to see Papi up there swinging with one hand, producing routine fly after routine fly. Wak-attack going tonight isn't making me feel overly optimistic....

While I'd love to see the Sox & the Phillies, I can't complain too much about the Rays winning it-good on them, great for baseball, etc etc. Still, I want to make them earn it. Of course, it's a bit scary when your season basically now depends on the knuckleball.

    ^ This

Also, I'll be bummed if the Sox don't play the Phillies. I want to see Brett Meyers get boo'd off the field. For those that don't remember, the last time he was in Boston was for an interleague series a few years ago. He got arrested during those few days for hitting his wife in front of a crowded restaurant. Seriously, fuck that guy.

I'm still waiting for the clover to pop out of Matsuzaka's ass.

Wow. What a start. Upton walks + stolen base, Pena 2-run homer, Longoria homers. Jesus.
