The title implies that Adults/Non autistic kids would be playing autistic kids in a serious musical play. Imagine "CATS" as "AUTISTICS". Sort of like one of the GTA radio adds.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a movie about an autistic girl who learns martial arts and major fight scenes followed.

No, I'm just trying to point out what little comedic value it had because you don't exactly get "It's a documentary about autistic kids and their acting coach" from the title alone. Unless you heard of it before, odds are you first take it at face value. I never said you should stop there. I just wanted to share my take on the face value.

The whole post is a "Laugh and move on" deal better suited for the spam forum. I'm surprised because the general 4chan humor this board has that people didn't go with it a little more.

sorry guys, when I got the email I thought it was an awful joke at the expense
of autistic people, so when I followed the link I was both dissapointed and
releived.

probably not cool to laugh at those less fortunate or different. though it still happens
so...

Actually my friend was telling me about it, and he said it was pretty cool.

I wish my brother was one of the cool autistic kids, instead of just sitting around all day. =/

Or even autism in general? Autism is one of the few (often) beneficial development disorders. People think of it as a "retard" disorder when it's the exact opposite, your brain is so high functioning that you can't interact with your surroundings. The really high functioning ones retreat into their own microism where they can't separate their own world from the real one.

The majority of autistic people live their life undiagnosed and only "Suffer" from having higher average intelligence. It's fairly rare to get into the 160+IQ range without being autistic.

I think it's more insulting to call them "less fortunate" than to laugh at the bad ones ;0.

Anyways, not to get anyone down, thats my autism rant for the day.

its a movie about autistic kids in a musical. apparently this movie was like the first time autistic kids have been in musicals.
