I picked up a pair of these a while ago.. Haven't used them yet, but they seem to get pretty decent reviews. I haven't had the need to use a headset. Just purchased cause it was cheap at the time and it has stayed around the same price. Use Google Checkout for another $10 off.
Nice Levish, I just ordered the AD-700s as I wanted a bigger soundstage, a neutral sound, and more natural base.Originally Posted by levish

Let me know how yours feel on once you get them. That is really all i am concerned about is the fit since Audio Technica uses those crazy 'wings' on theirs.
As for a MIC i am just going to get a Zalman Clip on Mic and use an Astro Gaming Mixamp. Not sure if the Astro Headset would be out of your price range, it is a bit spendy, but worth checking out anyway.

I like to keep my mind open, but this is a hard one to buy.Originally Posted by Norellicus

Many people claim they can't hear the difference. Still more claim they can. I can hear a difference, and it may be totally in my head, but I just offered it out there. I wouldn't think badly of anyone who decided not to.
Edit: I should clarify, the last set of headphones I bought I didn't do this, but have used them enough to think back and agree that there is a difference in quality (for the better) as I've continued to put hours into them. As I said, you don't have to do it, but they might sound cheaper than you expect them to for the first long while that you use them, because the drivers aren't exercised yet.
I have had a lot of experience with the idea of breaking in or warming up stereo equipment and I have to say in mind it does make a difference. I would not go through quite that detailed of a process in fact I usually never did anything special to my speakers. I just had an understanding that speakers and headphones never sound their best right away they need to be broken in by being used for a certain amount of time before they are seasoned and sound their best.
