I just got my Game Informer (June) in the mail today. Cover story is GH4, and guess what: its adding drums and vocals. Congratulations, we're going to have two Rock Bands now. As long as the RB instruments work for it I won't complain too much, but I'd still rather have my own created guy than the ones that GH usually has.

I just saw it. I'm reading it now though, but the characters look similar to RB ones anyways. The new drums look goofy, but prolly more fun than RB. Full wireless, I'm sold. I get sick of cords being pulled out on accident while playing every single time.

I doubt the RB instruments will work on GH4, they refused to make them compatible with GH3..

Hell, I might start playing again when this comes out. Not to mention they announced there would be a Sublime song (if it's Santeria I will bust a testicle).

I just don't feel like having to buy a whole new set of peripherals every time a new game comes out. I know the GH controllers all worked together, but they kept getting better with each one. The create a guitar thing sounds cool. I don't like how a lot of them are just the same guitar with a little different design or color.

Also, Pandora is back. About time.

The only thing i'm sad about is the fact that songs like Cliffs of Dover/Impulse/Jordan won't be in the game (most likely, anyways) since they'll want songs that cater to all 4 instruments.

Still, I like the GH3 layout more than RB, so as long as they keep the same style going i'll probably grab it. Doubt i'll buy all the periperals again though. Worst case scenario i'll get the guitar (if it's any better than the Les Paul, which will be hard to do imo) and the game.

Sweet Linkin Park. It'll prolly be some crap from their newest CD, but its better than nothing. I hope they don't reuse songs that were in previous GH or any from RB like RB did. I realled hated Mississippi Queen and Sabotage, but they're in both games. I also like how they said you can skip songs you don't want to play, and switching instruments in career is cool. I like playing the drums in RB, but sometimes its ridiculous or I just can't get the set to register, but I enjoy passing it on guitar.

The game still won't be out until the holidays though right? We got Aerosmith coming out in about a month.

I don't care much for Aerosmith. Got so tired of "Train Kept A Rollin'" in RB being in almost every city, sometimes twice. I'll prolly borrow it if I get a chance, but won't buy it.

The music writing/editing thing they're working on sounds cool, but I just hope they don't try to put too much into it that they only have 40~ songs, or really crappy everything in total. Though free song sharing sounds cool, without vocals it might get a little boring. More DLC from them sounds good, but I don't care much for paying $10~ or so every week on songs from RB that I might not like ( I know I can preview, but its still different in game).

Overall, sounds good, looks like they're on the right track, but still its just one-upping Rock Band. $150 price tag at holiday season would make it a buy for me though. On to Prince of Persia and RE:5 articles.

Well I believe only about 50-60% of the songs in the game are Aerosmith, which isn't that bad. And I can play TKaR all day long lol, can't get enough of that song's solos.

I usually do vocals or vocals/guitar on Rock Band. The guitar chart didn't bother me at all, but I couldn't stand the vocals after the first time I had to sing them.

Aerosmith wont be out until next month. No word on the release date on IV.

I think Aerosmith is set for late June right? 4 will prolly be out around November for Christmas, and I think RB2 is planned for then too. There are some Aerosmith songs I like though, but I'd have to see the setlist to see if its worth it for me.

GH4 i'd guess would be December for Xmas of couse. So this year's Xmas wars will be Gears 2 and probably GH4.

GH4 Drumset > RB Drumset. All there is to it, it actually has HI-HAT / RIDE IN THE RIGHT FUCKING PLACES. NOT LIKE A SET OF TENORS FOR MARCHING /rant.

Once Rock Revolution comes maybe people that haven't been importing this genre for the past decade will see that games with hit-or-miss scoring are fucking boring.
