    Preview of Adjustments for June Version Update (Part 2) (05/20/2008)

    As a part of our continuing efforts to improve the convenience and enjoyment of life in Vana'diel, we plan to introduce several changes that include the appearance of nomad moogles in Selbina and Mhaura, as well as adjustments to the supply quests.

    Read on to discover what the upcoming version update holds in store.

    Nomad Moogles in Selbina and Mhaura

    After considering the continuing influx of new players, the changes made to the offer requirements for several quests, and the special task force's efforts in maintaining a fair and balanced playing environment, we have decided that the inclusion of nomad moogles and delivery NPCs in Selbina and Mhaura will prove to be a beneficial addition to the game.
    Look forward to these new arrivals in the next version update!

    Supply Quest Records

    As you are no doubt aware, in order to make use of the regional teleport services, it is first necessary to complete a supply quest to the outpost in question. We will be implementing a change wherein along with your mission rank and conquest points, a record of completed supply quests will now be retained even after transferring your allegiance to another nation.

    Item Autosort Function

    This particular function has been requested many times by the community, and is scheduled to be implemented along with the various other adjustments introduced in recent Topics.
    As well as the difficulties encountered in preventing potential misuse, we have avoided the implementation of this function in the past in order to prevent confusion for crafters—items carefully separated for synthesis would have been forcibly stacked.
    However, with the same consideration given to the placement of nomad moogles in Selbina and Mhaura, we believe that the current stability of FINAL FANTASY XI allows for this feature to be introduced without adversely affecting gameplay.

    Players will be provided with the option to deactivate automatic sorting as part of the new function we have planned.
    meh. good job putting in a function that we've had for months now.

    auto sort already handled by windower plugin
    selbina and mhaura nomad moogles, was needed about 3 years ago
    supply quest rewards, i'm guessing it's the same thing they're doing that was mentioned in the interview, i.e. if you switch nations, you still have to get all the outposts again, it just saves them incase, for whatever reason, you change back to your previous nation

    also, it's funny (to me at least) that SE is adding nomad moogles to selbina and mhaura. when kazham and rabao were added, they obviously had to have discussed adding these nomad moogles to Selbina and Mhaura, but decided not to. now, why quite a few years later after Zilart, are they deciding "Oh, IT'S OK NOW LOL", it's not like there's been some out-of-this-world dynamic that alters the way we play the game, that now makes it SAFE and non-abusive to add these to selbina/mhaura

    basically, SE realizes they fucked up, and it wouldn't have ever inadversely affected the gameplay whatsoever

    bad game design imo, but at least they're adding them now

    TParty used to be the main reason i used windower, until scripted macros came into play

    if official windower had scripted macros and tparty, quite a few people would probably stop using Azaril's version

    What use is the moogle thing really, I can't see any use at all except it's easy to change to something that can raise if you wipe or someone dies.

    I haven't even been to Selbina in a long fucking time.
    Been even longer since I was in Mhaura and needed to switch jobs or send something, Nomad Moogles in those places will be nearly useless for me now it seems, definitely would have loved something like that about 3-4 years ago.

    Oh well, I'm sure some people will find them far more useful than I will.

    It's also useful for the people raising their fame quickly. Buy all the moss/corn/cabbage you need in town of choice, and shove it in the mog safe. Make your way over to selbina, and start spamming trades, without the need to travel back to other towns to restock.

    I can see it useful for some fame tasking since now people can deliver stuff to ya, but hardly anyone is levelling jobs in the dunes these days or at least on asuran JP time, I swear the game is dead lvl1-69, can barely get anyone for parties, I secretly wish they merge servers

    Might make leveling in the dunes a little less painful but as stated above, who does that now-a-days? And wtf is the update note talking about with 'influx of new players'?

    Regardless, I'm relatively happy with the post. But then again, I'm probably the only PC user that doesn't still use LL.
