Meh, at least they're finally adding these features (even if they really are way too late). The moogles in Mhaura and Selbina are great though, I do a lot of fishing on the boat and it's a bitch to have to run out to the boat again and again, makes it a lot easier.

Re: Preview of Adjustments for June Version Update (Part 2)

So anyway, this weekend I was leveling my then level 11 PLD, I didn't /anon fast enough. Someone asked me to party, and being the nice guy that I am (since there is a huge tank shortage these days) I agreed.

The first thing that I noticed when I got to the dunes from Bastok was that there were 4 parties at various point close to the Konschtat Highlands entrance. I did a search, there were 120 people in the dunes- most of them rank 3 or lower, quite a few without subjobs, and very few obvious RMT names. The day before I helped someone get to Jeuno for the first time when I finished up leveling Dancer for the night. (I wanted to ask "why the hell did you pick this game", but I refrained.)

So yeah, it seems that the Nomad Moogles in Selbina and Mhaura may get a little more use that people here may have previously speculated. Anyway, it is nice that Square is doing Quality of Life adjustments- people may whine "better late than never", but people have asked for these changes. It is nice to see them listen, maybe they will start listening in a more timely fashion. Or better yet, people can piss and moan about every change that Square makes until they realize that there is no way to make us happy and bring the CoP team back for a little of their special "tough love" since people are going to bitch about every single thing anyway. I'm not saying that we should throw parades for every little thing, but at least try to make an effort to not be petulant about positive changes. Keep reminding yourself, "it is not fish-ranking".

I couldn't stop laughing at that line. (And "cum-blasting thrill ride of non-stop fun".) But honestly, I don't know if there are enough specially trained rescue teams capable of cranial-sphincter extractions to go around.

Out of this thread I've seen a lot of people saying that they'd use LL in dynamis over an SE-made autosort function. Is there some special feature to lightluggage besides....autosorting...that.....an "auto-sort function" cant do? lol <.<
I mean, i understand server side lag and such, but I must be missing something if I dont understand how 1 plugin that does the same thing as another function is gonna be better >.>.

Edit: I dont use windower, so clueless on the real answer.

I'm pretty sure it's because what they're implementing will be an "autosort" not an "autopass", whereas Light Luggage can be made to pass everything in the treasure pool at once.

    Right?

Not everyone can OP from Dunes; despite Windurst being #1 most of the time on Unicorn they only get Zulkheim once every few months (if that), so if you're not a part of the Best Nation Ever™ and you're not fervently checking who owns what every week you might not have the OP.

Hiryo, the reason people will continue to use LL for Dynamis (and probably in general) is because using profiles it can autopass/lot stuff for you. For example, the Dynamis profile included with it will autopass currency, and it's easy enough to change to autolot for sponsors/leaders. Sure it's not necessary, but it's time saving.

I dunno, this is just garbage. Where's the beef?! Tell me you're increasing combat/magic merits! Tell me you're adding merits for the new jobs and relic armor for the ToAU jobs! Tell me how I can upgrade Nyzul weapons! Tell me that I can store any damned armor set I please as long as it's a full set! Give me a 500k GP Crafting Expertise key item so I sometimes don't use materials when I successfully synth something!

...but don't give me this shit.

    Item Autosort Function
Finally, really couldn't stand playing on the xbox360 without this.

Also, there's a lot of new players(and a lot of people who return, then quit, then return, etc with new characters). Not as much as launch day, but it seems to be a lot more than what people imagine.

Too late for what? Making the game better? I don't think you can be too late for that unless we all plan on quitting tomorrow (though I'm sure there are a few who will).

Seems more like 'Too late to impress me', which, frankly, isn't the point of every tweak we get and is a little self-absorbed. Part of the point of an update is to make the game more accessible and less, well, frustrating & tedious. Considering they've announced fixing 3 things we've bitched about audibly, you can't really call this futile, since it's fixing something that was (for the most part) needlessly restrictive. Whether you, personally use these is irrelevant, cuz it's pretty obvious most people will, even if you don't think they 'count.' Not everything's going to be a cum-blasting thrill ride of non-stop fun, and while there's nothing wrong with saying this should have been done earlier, there's a limit to how much you can reasonably shit on a win, because that's what any positive change is.

Before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, this is less in defense of the update and more an attack on the people who I feel are currently trapped in and are slowly being crushed to death by a cave-in 5ft up their own asses (most likely caused by taking the trip up there in the first place).
I doubt Shuku was really saying it is too late in the literal sense. People have a habit of exaggerating, especially on forums. He will likely still continue to play the game, regardless of his comments. And it's his opinion, what's it to you? Does this mean every person on this thread is being attacked by you for complaining? Please clarify. This doesn't make him trapped in your so-called death crush by one's own arse. After seeing you post around here and there, I would have figured you'd know by now that 1) people will always complain, and 2) you'd be better at writing. Don't bluntly and openly say you're attacking someone on a forum, you look like a douche and a troll and makes your arguement weak. You'd think you would have already gotten self-satisfaction from getting the updates notices and the game is not over yet, you've proven your point to yourself. People here are complaining and expressing opinions shared by others. The only person I see with an atomic wedgie is you, but I suppose it's happened to you before and you'd know about it since you mentioned it.

Do that, AND let people wear the gear of their original level, scaled down in stats to the level cap. This way, the 75 BRD who's playing with the level 37 party can use Byakko's Haidate, but rather than 5% haste, it's 5*37/75% ~ 2%.

And then let's have a quest that will unlock the same function for all level capped areas of the game.

It's not about "they should've done this from the beginning" or whatever. I'm just upset because, though these changes are welcome, they're just not substantive enough to even talk about. These are the sorts of things that should be bullet points in the upgrade notes on the day of the upgrade. These aren't things that are going to get people excited/intrigued. These are things that deserve a collective shrug of approval at best.

An update which should have been done years ago. Lol. Failure.

Come on SE, lets stir up the pot and release more information on the Nyzule Isle Weapons!

Agreed. Holy moly, people -- not every change is going to be earthshaking, and not every change is going to affect you. The fact that they are going back and changing old content (i.e. fellows, Nomad moogles, outpost warp changes, etc.) shows that they are re-evaluating old content. Eventually, they just might get to something you do care about. I agree that it would have been nice if these options were in the game from the beginning, but I really can't get my mind around the concept that these changes warrant excessive complaining. Meh, I can understand.

Personally, I'd rather have tidbits of information twice a week for 4-6 weeks before an update. If they only posted "the big stuff," there wouldn't be even 1/4 of the update notices they do have.

    Pretty funny statement tbh.

    Therin:

Dude, lay off... you can't call others bad guys for using windower and all the add-ons they want when you use it yourself (even if you only use it for tparty) still doesn't make you a purist, if you were you wouldn't use it at all.

So the moogles in Selbina + Mhaura are meant to encourage people to EXP at the low levels again?

Didnt SE kinda.... just.... released.... a NEW FUCKING EXPANSION catered so far towards alternative low level/mid level exp? (unless you count beastmen, gnoles and gnats as Merit mobs) The Moogles are overdue yes and the auto-sort function sounds like it will help console players tremendously but.... where is the incentive to USE the WoTG areas?

Pretty much completely agreed with this statement. Since SE adding this so late doesn't provide any benefits for me, I wouldn't even like to see it at all. Infact I'm somewhat annoyed they even added them.

This is how I see things going for new players now.. they go on with a lv1 subjob til lv20-30 because they never had to go back home to switch (Which means it's convenient to level said subjob). Then, older players will rip them and laugh at them. Then they'll quit. gg SE, way to encourage new players.

OP warps already provide you will close proximity moogles if you are an experienced player and there are also the areas outside wotg cities that are dunes levels (Also moogle inside the cities there which is arguably not much further selbina/mhaura with be from the outside). So again, more options for an experienced player that has done this many times. There is no reason for them to add this now.

It amazes me that they are so stuck to new content ideas that they would go this far and potentially break the new player experience. I'm sure many of us on this board could come up with at least 100 interesting content ideas that wouldn't ruin the game. The developers are just tired.

Why are you acting like some players didn't? And that many players strongly argued against the idea for some of the reasons listed.

Just because someone requests: "ZMG MAEK IT SO I CAN GEt LV75 JUS BY DOING A QUEST LOL AND MAKE NPC SELL RELICS FOR 100G" Does that mean that SE should do it?
