I couldn't really hear the tv after penn v sherk, was it just the refs decision to stop it or did sherk say something to him?

6/6 on picks but I'm most happy for Wand, I wish it could have gone on longer but it was great to seem him win once again.

For some reason the ref stopped it.

I thought the ref said he's ok, and Sherk was the one that said he was finished.

Man, I felt bad for Keith Jardine. He got absolutely destroyed. I was really hoping that would be a better fight then it was.

wanderlei is such a beast...he's so much fun to watch when he's in top form. it looked like sherk broke his hand at some point early in the 3rd round and bj just took advantage of him. after the bell he didn't get up and made no effort to move back to his corner, so the ref called it. he was out and he knew it. that's why he didn't argue about it. he's a classy guy despite the steroid allegations and whatnot. the bar i was at started chanting "nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, goodbye" after the tito fight ended...was pretty funny. machida looked solid, wish he would have engaged more, but i respect the gameplan. the bonuses went up for this show as well. 75k for ko of the night (wanderlei), submission of the night (Palhares), and fight of the night (Reljic and Gouveia). i'm glad to see the bonus get bigger...really gives the guys who don't get big paydays a reason to go in guns a blazing and give great fights. overall it was a great show and i was very pleased.

It kind of seems like sherk thought the ref stopped the fight instead of just calling the round over since sherk says he didn't hear the bell so that may be why he stayed on the ground and when the ref saw sherk just sitting there he thought sherk had given up or something.

I was thinking the same thing. He even said he didn't know how much time was left during the round when the ref stopped it... However it's clear that the ref stopped it after the bell. I'm pretty sure he's going to be pissed when he watches the fight.

Sherk shouldn't be pissed. The Ref called a stop after asking Sherk if he wanted to continue. You can see him shaking his head after the fight and the reason given for the stop to the fight was "Sean Sherk is unable to continue therefore the winner is declared by TKO " . And Penn was the one that called a stop to the fight lol.

BJ is just a jerk. I normally hate guys like him but for some reason, I like him as a jerk. That guy is just crazy good.

Cant wait for the WEC fight next week. I dunno who I want to win. I'm a fan of both.

hyung kim is indeed a bad man. all the judo throws make me want to take a few more years of judo.
