As of today we have implemented spoiler tags. We have done this because of the recent amount of complaints, regarding various TV shows that people watch. Spoiler tags will be used for TV shows, movies, video games, books, anything that somebody would consider a spoiler to a certain degree. If you are unsure, use a spoiler tag because its better to be safe than sorry, you can go back and edit out spoiler tags for obvious well known things. Any abuse of the spoiler tags will be dealt with by the admins and moderators. This means putting random messages that have nothing to do with the topic and are not spoilers at all but whatever you feel like will not be tolerated.
Use of spoilers in the spam forum is heavily discouraged.

Some people have been confused on when to put spoiler tags in or how to use them appropriately, here are a few guidelines on how they can be used efficiently.

Going into certain threads, like "LOST Season 4" , "Heroes" "GTA:4!!!" etc, these with the title blatantly displayed up the top, you pretty much have to expect the discussion to be about the subject, spoilers will be in the topic almost garunteed!

Good use of spoiler tags :

- Talking about episodes that haven't aired but you have the info about
- Talking about a spoiler plot line / story in a game where you stayed up all night to beat it, while others are still playing at a normal pace and no one is anywhere near the end either aside a few people.

- For example, a topic named "Best movies you've ever watched" , you make a post about "Kill bill" and then you put spoiler tags around the plot line you think would ruin it for people who have not watched it.

Not very good use of spoiler tags :

- Talking about an episode that aired the day before in a topic all about the series
- Talking about spoilers of a movie in a topic all about the movie.

- For example, The topic's title is "Bridge to terebithia discussion" and you make entire posts lost in spoiler tags.
(Note! This would be different if the topic title was "Bridge to terebithia" and the OP was just asking if the movie was good, if this is the case then yes, due to the context, spoiler tags would be appropriate - read the OP if you're unsure about the context of the topic, read the last few pages if the thread got large, large threads tend to derail).

Great concept however I don't think most people will know when they've crossed the line with a spoiler. Example some people might consider Alexander is in the game a spoiler while some will be that's common knowledge. And then you'll have those people that don't care and just will say it anyway. Will there be penalty's and rules following this spoiler update?

Too annoyingly complex. Spoilers are obvious spoilers in movies / games, for example, Snape kills dumbledore, Aeris Dies, and the like. Things like "Ganondorf is the main boss in Zelda!!!" when the whole game is basically pointing to that conclusion isn't really a spoiler, rather common sense.

That's unfortunate, no seriously you're missing out. Its not that much of a spoiler anyway, because its not really a part of the major conflict in the story, just an unfortunate event.
