To the best of my recollection, no AV attempt has ever lost due to a Benediction in a situation where the people fighting it felt it would have otherwise been winnable under the circumstances. Do you know of one?

    this is true

what makes AV hard isn't so much his ability to benediction, that's just a fact that utterly sucks. what makes AV hard is the comet>comet>meteor.

I think the biggest hurdle with this fight is the fact that his mob level really prevents anything from being effective. Even if the community has the correct sequence of events, the fight is really an endurance test. Hell, the only kill on cerb was one that was face jacked by a shell from another lol.

The hardest thing about the fight is that he kills you before you can do anything.

Seriously, if you even try to do anything it's meteor>metoer>comet>assrape>hit with belt> AV puts a gag on you> rapes you more>meteor.

Can't do much with a NM like that, D:

Sounds to me that SE took it to the extreme, when people were wanting an HNM that was challenging and take months to beat. I thought AV was killed by atleast one server, but apparently not.

If SE brings up "just watch the vid for answers" again you can just ask them "How do you deal with everyone getting comet/metoered/aerog4ed to the face? The video didn't address that".

Re: Absolute Virtue and Me: Back to the Beginning of 2006

    less theories, more findings please.

Anyways, if all of the player base that put their minds together and torn all versions of the video down to pieces, and still can not solve the problem, while all we get is the monthly thread "I think this is how to beat AV" w/o actual testings with findings to back up the theory... yea SE need to toss us another bone (yea maybe after 2 more expansions).

Regen - nuke - elemental day (I may be wrong but I believe that the playerbase has known this prior to the videos)
Long fights, yea that's no problem.
Comet/Meteor - well I believe that the playerbase has attempted every possible methods that is possible to us (other than the 2hr spam within 2hrs), and still could not find the answer to address the only (unless counting benediction too) issue that's stopping AV from being beatable.

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong here) that all we want is to know how to deal with the comet/meteor guaranteed wipe. Yes I'll back off and take a few benedictions at this point just for the comet/meteor solutions.

This stage as in 2 expansions later?

In conclusion, SE, instead of holding on to AV, how about spending more energy on coming up with more NMs/contents in the WoTG or even ToAU, and just let us have the NM that's 2 expansions old...

To the best of my recollection, no AV attempt has ever gotten AV below 79% (and lasted) without locking it or using the wall. It's not fair to say Benediction isn't a problem just because it hasn't wiped anyone yet - if everyone thought that way, we'd never use any preventative safety measures for anything in real life until someone has already gotten hurt and/or died.

Tho if you could get AV to 1% and it benedectioned, nothing stops you from getting it to 1% again and killing it. it sucks but its still not a guaranteed wipe like meteor.

Aeroga4 is able to be dealt with

Comet and meteor have a 2h prerequisite which means if your ls is paying attention, you can kite it or something.

We still need to test the most recent theory from the last thread: Using a 2h in response to AV's 2h reduces AV's natural 2h usage frequency by 20s and the duration of the 2hs. If we can make them infrequent and predictable, he will still be hard but beatable. That's the issue, it's hard to tell the difference between hard but beatable and impossible, so it's hard to notice when we are changing that. Truth is, not many people tested AV after the video.

AV isn't broken, our spirits are.

I only skimmed this thread btw, I saw people just repeating the sentiment that av is broken QQ and figured thats probably all it is.

Like I said, KoN jacked that shit, don't remember if it was CC or WW they took it from though, was funny hearing about it before I picked up sea access.

Have you spent four to seven hours kicking yourself for being so gullible to fall for SE's huge, huge time sink of a "puzzle" with the only relative clues that weren't as simple as basic arithmetic to see only able to be tested every two hours, being SEVERELY unpractical, then coming on to BG to see if perhaps someone else was able to do this better than you only to find answers to things we basically already knew, some very interesting points but nothing that eventually even nudged us in the right direction or gained any significant ground?

Wait a minute, I guess everyone does play this game. Maybe AV is a riddle for the suckers we really are.
