It used Hundred Fists in another region's version.
There are no MNKs in their alliance at all.

I would be amused if this is actually one of the SE reps or something.

Anyway, nothing he's stated is new, per se - though he's a little backwards with the original 2H theory. No one LS has properly tested out the 2H theories by way of elimination: e.g., after AV 2Hs, use all 2Hs except those that are offensive (EES and Mijin - and obviously Call Wyvern, not Spirit Surge); if AV does not have Wynavs up, then the next time he 2Hs it SHOULD be Eagle Eye Shot. So far all we've had "supporting evidence" but nothing to proof this. One LS had every job spam all 2Hs which is also a mistake, as that would obviously be too easy and cancel itself out.

It still doesn't solve the problems of tanking AV for a length of time, nor is there any idea as to what varying bracelet modes are like at this point. /shrug

Absolute Virtue and You: Back to the 1950s

As usual Square-Enix has given us all of the information we need to solve the problem, it's just that the playerbase is too elitist and self-obsessed to consider that maybe the problem is with US and not Square-Enix. We automatically assume that it can't be beaten because we can't beat it, and we're all uber players, so of course AV is broken not us, right?

But the information is all there, and plain as day. I will explain it now, the secret of Absolute Virtue:

A-b-s-o-l-u-t-e V-i-r-t-u-e, there are 8+6 letters for a total of 14 letters in 2 words. 14*2 is 28, which is clearly a reference to the movie 28 Days Later. In 28 Days Later, zombies rule the world after an outbreak of a disease. The main character is British which is a European Nation. Incidentally, European players were introduced to FFXI around the time that Absolute Virtue was released. In Europe Cigarettes are called Fags. Now Absolute Virtue is a reference to the original greek concepts started by Socrates and Plato, the "Realm of Ideas." The Ancient Greeks were notoriously gay, and incredibly fond of the male body, they thought it was the pinnacle of beauty. Thus the Ancient Greeks were gay. Don't you people see it? Absolute Virtue is gay, and Europeans smoke fags. Clearly the only way to beat Absolute Virtue is to have a Frenchman offer Absolute Virtue a cigarette.

If my French Amano SAM friend SATA Kaiten's me whilst fighting AV does that count as a Frenchman offering AV a fag?

Might have to do with someone not using the ability? Great theory you have going there though the questions still needing to be answered is how to tank him and survive and why certain people used certain 2hrs at a time, I've watched the video's over and over and you'll see when av 2 hours only certain people used their 2 hour not those with the ability. Even if you look the video AV attack speed is lowered big time since I've actually had the pleasure to get defeated by Absolute Virtue.

Edit: Just re-watching the videos if you notice nobody used any abilities except 2 hour. Possibility here is who ever uses abilities it provokes AV into doing that 2 hour ability? (not tested at all just something I noticed)

Already tried before the fighting began. Everybody blew there 2 hours, AV still was able to use 2 hour...

AV is going to 2 hour if you like it or not.

I actually read all of it, I just don't see where he's trying to go with it.

Same here, he seems to come off as contemptuous and arrogant. As if every person in this community blatantly overlooked something so fucking obvious in the initial SE video release. It looks like a copy/pasta job from another forum or thread, in which case he would have been better served changing up his words here and there to avoid sounding like a complete fucking tool.

Question: Did they blow their 2hrs b4 the fight, or during? B/c that seems to be the difference in what he was saying about the AV quote.

I've yet to even see AV, and have only fought JoL 1x. That being said I do try to read and follow each theory, but I generally lose interest in all the derail and insult posts.

Re: AV video as a teaching tool, not as a linear fight sequence.

it's really not about derail and insults at this point of the game.

Basically there's theory left and right and coming non-stop.

But people should just be considerate, form a theory, test it, and then post what they find.

Or, what we'll see is that every week/month someone will post something similar

"you guys are not paying attention to the video, SE showed it all... this is what you do..." with out any tests performed to back up the theory which is just as good as "you should kill all wyrms at the same time during full moon 100%, if they die within the 30 second window of each other, AV's 2hrs/meteor will be disabled"

All you guys whining and bitching about clocks and day changes need to think outside the box a little bit. Its the same fight, but its edited, because each part is dedicated to a different aspect of the fight.

Or maybe peope did that and people just keep posting the same theory. This theory has already been tested.

Re: AV video as a teaching tool, not as a linear fight sequence.

If this theory had any validity, then, to my understanding, AV wouldn't use 2hrs of jobs that were not present, which is clearly not the case. I'm done Mijin Gakure to us when we've had no NINs, Hundred Fists with no MNKs, Mighty Strikes with no WARs.. Maybe OP can tell me why that happens since he's so positive he knows what he's talking about...

Whether he's onto something or not is irrelevant. I just find it hilarious that he's like "DON'T YOU SEE WHAT THEY PUT RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!", however, he posts it months after the video came out >.>
