I graduated high school in 99. Never did we go over Watergate in enough detail to know who Deep Throat was (I don't think I remember even discussing Watergate, but meh..). As far as history and lessons are concerned, the "who" is relatively useless. The "what" is the important part. Someone fucked up, and they got caught. Don't do shit and you won't get in trouble. End of story. First thing I thought of was the smoking man personally, but I also thought of a government agent at the same time. Xfiles ftw.
