    Controller question

Alright so instead of necrobumping the old thread I thought I'd make a new one

I've been playing with the classic controller since brawl was released but I feel something just isn't right. There's usually a lag, albeit small, between the moment where I hit my button and where the command registers in the game. This happens a lot with shield/dodging and the c-stick (set to smash) and it is incredibly annoying for my block to not register and get hit with a smash attack. I've been trying a bit with the nunchuck/wiimote setup and the lag isn't present as it was with the classic controller.

So does anyone feel the slight lag there is or am I just hallucinating stuff? I'm considering buying a gamecube controller just to play this game because missing some easy blocks because of this is pissing me off. Also, is there any way to fix the r-buttons on my classic controller so it shields right when I click it and I don't have to do the double press (I don't know the exact terms, but it's like theres 2 clicks of the button, one smooth and one hard that registers after the first one)

    Light the Ryko lamp!

As for shielding, analog shielding is gone so you have to press the shoulder buttons down all the way regardless of which controller you're using. I don't have a controller myself, so I can't say for sure if any other lag you're sensing is your imagination, but I haven't noticed anything weird with either wiimote/nunchuck or a gamecube controller.

You always set shield to a non-shoulder button. I was thinking of doing. Actually I'm not sure how I will change the controls for my CC.

Offline the only time controls feel weird is when I'm actually inputting things in the incorrect order, otherwise no.

Btw, that was a typo. I meant "you could always set", not you MUST lol.

So far I've found that positioning / smallness of CC left thumbstick means a lot of side Bs turning into up Bs.
