the d-bag was insinuating that, because my videocard cost over $500, that this guys PC is somehow a better deal than mine. even if FF11 was the only game I played, i could still build a better PC than the one in this thread for less money as well

my point that my videocard alone cost over 500 dollars (Brand new, they're cheaper now) was meant to discredit the value that the OP felt that PC had. the pretty decal sticker on the side doesn't add +600 or more dollars to the value of the PC

1. Google "Centurion 5 Cooler Master PC Case". Buy for $50 dollars.
2. Photoshop a template with Square-Enix logo's, CoP cover art, etc. Then go to "www.graphxonline.com" to have your decal made.
3. Lurk "newegg.com" or "ebay.com". Buy all the components listed in the OP for 250$.
4. Slap it together, with no PC building skill required. (Wire management not necessary)
5. Sell for $700-800 USD? (Not including the mandatory overpriced $100 shipping.)

My point was, ironically, don't be a douche. The PC has it's place and it isn't meant to break benchmarks. I could have picked any of the other people acting like douches in this thread but you felt it was so important that your video card costs so much that you had to mention it. In all honesty I wouldn't blow more than 200 bucks on a graphics card for the same reason. I know that the month after I do buy something bleeding edge there will be something 500x better and the price of what I just bought will drop about 100 bucks. Theres just no point.

jealous of what, exactly? i built this PC about 2 years ago for gaming, and the 8800 GTX was the fastest card on the market and has lasted me a long time. yeah it was expensive but that was a long time ago. the only reason i mentioned the price of the card (jealousy, lol) was to show how outdated the specs were in the OP's PC, for the price he was asking for it

fortunately, right after the 8800 GTX came out (~2006, bought mine late 2006), nothing else came out that was faster until about a month ago with the 9800 GX2 which is a dual-gpu card

and nah, i didnt spend a grand on a CPU, it's a Q6600 overclocked to 3.4
