I had to make due with a faux granite skin to cover most of the metal.
Sell the case and strip the insides, then your talking about a price range 200-300$ max from some idiot who would also lay cash down for an alienware case repo..
edit: also whats so collectable about shitty PC components, shitty case selection, shitty wire management, and a cheap photoshop scrap-up of a decal?

I'd say it is worth about $350-400 max to be completely honest with you. Some collector newb may pay more though.
spec wise, that PC is absolute trash bro
LOL @ $700-800. my ass.
my fucking videocard cost me $519 ;/
And it most likely gets the same fps in ffxi as yours, grats.Originally Posted by Reality
or probably better
Meh. I could see myself paying $50 or so for that case, lol. Then putting it up on eBay so some retards buys it for a couple hundred. Yay.
I thought about making an offer for the case because I'm a faggot but then I realized I prefer my Lian Li with 9 fans as opposed to that :/
because FFXI is the only PC game I play.. right?Originally Posted by Cjskater

Oh, I missed the part where the computer hardware inside the case was custom designed to play FFXI.Originally Posted by Cjskater
the d-bag was insinuating that, because my videocard cost over $500, that this guys PC is somehow a better deal than mine. even if FF11 was the only game I played, i could still build a better PC than the one in this thread for less money as well
my point that my videocard alone cost over 500 dollars (Brand new, they're cheaper now) was meant to discredit the value that the OP felt that PC had. the pretty decal sticker on the side doesn't add +600 or more dollars to the value of the PC
1. Google "Centurion 5 Cooler Master PC Case". Buy for $50 dollars.
2. Photoshop a template with Square-Enix logo's, CoP cover art, etc. Then go to "www.graphxonline.com" to have your decal made.
3. Lurk "newegg.com" or "ebay.com". Buy all the components listed in the OP for 250$.
4. Slap it together, with no PC building skill required. (Wire management not necessary)
5. Sell for $700-800 USD? (Not including the mandatory overpriced $100 shipping.)
6. Profit?
bolded part looks like jealousy.Originally Posted by Reality
My point was, ironically, don't be a douche. The PC has it's place and it isn't meant to break benchmarks. I could have picked any of the other people acting like douches in this thread but you felt it was so important that your video card costs so much that you had to mention it. Just because you believe something wouldn't sell for a certain amount doesn't mean it wont. Honestly, lurk ebay sometime. They sold a grilled cheese sandwich for like 30k.
Now back on track, if there ever was one.
Specs on this 500 video card?Originally Posted by Reality

And don't try to justify "Oh I wanted top of the line so it didn't become old so soon" because I sure as hell know that the month after you bought that there was something 500x better! Thats just how it works! Oh btw I have 1 more gig of ram than your ass
!
Probably the 8800 Ultra(when it came out).
In all honesty I wouldn't blow more than 200 bucks on a graphics card for the same reason. I know that the month after I do buy something bleeding edge there will be something 500x better and the price of what I just bought will drop about 100 bucks. Theres just no point.Originally Posted by terranova

And hes running an 8800 GTX
nah, let's ride this derail train a bit more.Originally Posted by Cjskater

and calling me a douche, that's what I was thinking about you with the "Grats" comment. don't presume shit. it just makes you look that much more idiotic when you're wrong.
fortunately, right after the 8800 GTX came out (~2006, bought mine late 2006), nothing else came out that was faster until about a month ago with the 9800 GX2 which is a dual-gpu cardOriginally Posted by Ikith
and nah, i didnt spend a grand on a CPU, it's a Q6600 overclocked to 3.4
The worst part is I almost sent a PM with an offer for this. Goddamn me being a complete and total Square and FF merchandise whore. >_>
