I don't give a fuck how much the collectible case sells for, my point was that he tried to make out the PC spec was actually decent. It's not.Originally Posted by Beckwin
I paid $700 for my PC, even with a kick ass case, and a 20' flat screen
4 gigs of ram, amd dual core 5600, geforce 8600 GT (512mb on board), etc.
as I and others stated no one in their right mind would drop anywhere near that, unless they know nothing about PCs and want to buy it simply for the case, which isn't that good to begin with.
Good luck on eBay.
Photousa and similar places can put photos on almost everything, I'm sure somewhere like that can do custom items.Originally Posted by Lordwafik
You could probably get some clueless fan to buy it for like 300-500, assuming they know nothing about computers.
But maybe not because that tower looks pretty generic, and most clueless people would expect it to come with a monitor and speakers as if they were buying it from dell.
Yay for computers. Today it's brand new and tomorrow it's outdated!![]()

Not so much outdated as just not worth as much. A computer's ability to perform tasks don't degrade from age much, in most cases a quick format combined with proper maintenance and a computer will run as well as it did on the day you got it. The problem is that computer parts devalue immediately when you take it out of the box and by the time 6 months pass you'd be lucky to get 10% of the value you paid for it. Hence why the OP is getting flamed for wanting so much money. No one is disputing the computer will run fine or that the case is neat, but the components simply aren't worth any money anymore. You're basically asking 800 bucks for a fancy case.Originally Posted by Angelsin

those really pretty custom-designed PC's need this:

i want one pretty badly, but unfortunately it costs nearly a down payment on a new car @ $789 with the setup + GPU & CPU water blocks (if you buy the ones from this company)
gotta admit, it looks really nice, and performs just as well
$7
My friend used to have a watercooling system in his case, but apparently it was TOO COLD and fucked up his mobo. He brought it to his usual PC repair place and they all got hard-ons when they opened his case, asking if he was gonna overclock the shit out of it and whatever, and all he said was "I just want to play WoW." :<
