simply stating something as a joke can easily get you suspended. i recall the case of one of my less bright former LS members who shouted in wg that he was selling his account as a joke. in minutes he was jailed and temp banned. i doubt if claiming you were banned before is any different. the policy is to shoot first and don't even bother asking questions.

Offering your account to 200 people via shout isn't exactly the same as mentioning your lost gear in linkshell chat or something equivalent.

2years can change a man i swear =D besides why would i bot on a friend's account? buncha sillys i tell ya. people who bot and git banned dont bot again, it's common sense. if you tell your mom to stfu and she slaps the shit out of you are you gonna do it again? also 'BOTTING' is not the same thing as POS/speed hacking. You can say it is all you want. Also i botted fafnir for a week or maybe it was 2 believe we got like 11 fafnirs in a row... was pretty epic if must say so myself. can't think of anyone that bots at faf and manages to git ELEVEN in a row. old days It's not like i speed hack/pos hack to claim your NM or something. You gotta remember i was 1 of many in aery that botted faf. old news anyway no one cares.

edit: every shell has atleast 2botters whether you say so or not. the thing that sickens me the most is that everyone goes around screaming "OMG I HATE BOTTERS THEY'RE SO LAME GAH LEE!" when they know for a fact they have botters in their shell. this thread was about people who act like they're above the rules of the game by doing w/e the hell they want to infront of anyone without caring. if you notice in my post explaining the story i didn't complain about them claiming ever. I didn't ask about the fucking info on the characters. I said CREDIT CARD. People who have paid for other friend's accounts who were hacking and shit and got caught have gotten themselves banned as well because their card was paying for 2 account.. the one banned and their own.

Jesus fucking christ, do you not even understand basic English? If the name/address billing info is the same as the card that paid for your previous account, that's enough for them. If someone reported you on the chat log and they verified it with this payment info as well as reading the chat logs, you're screwed, period.

I dunno about the OP and his banination, but SE does need to be a little more careful when banning accounts. One of my friends had his mule banned several months ago (just one char, not the entire account) just because he moved it to another server with 100+ mil on it. He was told "suspected rmt activity" and he lost all that money he made during the inflation few years back. He moved it there to buy cheap dynamis currency and it had been there for quite some time before it was randomly banned. Such bullshit...

Then another friend of mine recorded hundreds of chocobo race results and found a pattern and made a mule to choco-race and made about 60? mil before that char got banned too lol... not sure if he deserved that one. SE's fault for not randomizing the race enough or his fault for taking advantage?

I'd say the first guy you mentioned kinda deserved it. 100M will buy you a relic anywhere, shifting to another server and taking a lot of currency from their economy is kind of taking advantage of the system, plus being very greedy. The second guy didn't deserve it, though, that's pretty bullshit. <_>

Makes me wonder if they'll ban Mog Bonanza winners if they spent their winnings in slighty-odd ways, it's basically the same thing. The chocobo races ARE supposed to be gambling.

Directed @ the OP, a former LS member of mine received the LM-17 quite a few months ago, he was a PS2 player and for sure legit in all aspects of the game...he contacted S-E customer service, they refused to give him any details as to why his account was suspended, they told him that LM-17 could now be either a perma or a temp, and wouldn't tell him which it was. Instead they instructed him to watch his bank statement the next month: if he was billed it was a temp, if he wasn't it was perma. He wasn't, and was in fact perma banned, we never were able to figure out what it was for...after dealing w/ S-E on the phone for a few weeks he gave up on the game entirely.

So, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there's a reasonable shot that that specific account is perma'd.

The Adventurer Races are random (at least to the degree that you don't know which Chocobos will be racing and what items they use).
The Free Races however are fixed, as long as your Chocobo's stats don't change, those races will always finish the same. It's slow but steady money. Sixty million just need some patience.

It's good to know about the Chocobo racing mule being banned, I'd have done the same, if I could dual box or didn't have a Chocobo on Chocobuck training.

Elixers(friend owns now): Suspended for RMT after selling over 2000 holy water to NPC for about 1.5m profit. Recently found out this was a mistake and erased off the record (4months ago)
Kaali: Suspended/banned for unknown reasons. No reason to do anything illegal with over 85m on my char. Friend's mule(75whm,blm) given to him by the owner suspended for unknown reasons at same time Kaali was. I believe the 2 to be linked to RMT due to the amount of NM camping he and i have been doing to help fund my relic and his kraken club. Also could be cause by possible harassment of RMT players but since when do they call gms o.o (4am this morning)

Over view of the whole situation. Anyone who says "LOLWINDOWER ONRY" yea, that's right windower x3 because i 3box everyday all day. Anyone who feels the need to say BOTWIGHTLOL grow up, was over 2 years ago. It's like sath said, why risk being banned with a relic.
