Well, I went to the Halo 3, GH3, and GTAIV midnight launches, and with the exception of Halo, I could have gotten there about 15 mins before midnight and would have been alright. I think it pretty much depends on how your particular store runs it, and how many people are going to be there. I think there were 200 people at the Halo 3 launch, and less than half at the other two.Originally Posted by Vygun
But basically, I'd only go there about 30-45 mins early, and just make sure you go inside to pay off the game. My GameStop always has two lines, one for the people that haven't already paid, and the people who have. If you've paid, they just look at your receipt and give you the game. From the time they started selling GTAIV, to the time I was actually home was only 15minutes. Granted, I don't live far, but that should give you an indication as to how quickly they get people through that have already paid.
I think my GameStop has about 1/3 the pre-orders for MGS4 as it did for GTAIV, and my local GameStop's store manager has already told me he's going to put one of the 80GB bundles on hold for me.
The only time cutscenes could be problem would be if they stop you from playing. Don't quite see the issue with an ending cutscene being too long.
I managed to get my hands on the OST. I'll upload it to Megaupload or w/e if anyone's interested.
Anyone heard of others doing pre-ordering? Like Best Buy?
Anyone know if Amazon.co.uk is doing the same?Originally Posted by Norelco

MGS isnt the kind of game you play through once. The first play through should always be for the story, and the second for the challenge and gameplay. I don't want them to cut down the awesome story they gave us in the previous instalmentOriginally Posted by Kwijiboe
Just read this over at Neogaf, time to bail out from the internet now
"Every aspect of the story has been leaked. No secrets anymore, everything is out in the open.
I am not very spoiler crazy so I read them, and it sounds fuck awesome. Plus it really isn't a spoiler reading what happens, because the real enjoyment(for me)is seeing it actually unfold in the game. After reading the spoilers, I am even more hyped than before. This game is exactly what the MGS mega fans are looking for, it seems to wrap up everything.
That being said, I respect those who do not want to see spoilers, so I am giving a heads up. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is leaked. Their is not one plot detail that hasn't hit the Internet. If I were you, I'd get off the Internet until you beat the game. It is going to be near impossible to avoid the spoilers if you stay on or around any websites remotely relating to gaming.
Good luck!"
Psh, it's NOTHING like not knowing what happens next. Knowing the story before you play the game is just annoying. >.<
I don't want to leave the entire internet. I trust BG will be safe enough to continue browsing.
Until the first troll comes along and posts "*********** DIES" in general. =/
I trust i'll be able to dodge spoilers until next Friday.
Mods better beat the shit out of people with ban sticks who spoil it without tagging it.
I'm afraid it won't be enough for the people refreshing the page at the moment it's posted.![]()
But still, just be careful if it really matters to you.
Pretty much that.Originally Posted by Tyche
