This is half the reason I'm getting a HD TV.

Tired of running the PSTwo and 360 through my Monitor using VGA Box.
Inputs are a bit iffy.

Whilst on the subject, do HDMI Splitters affect quality at all?
Not sure if I can find a 20 inch TV with 2 HDMI inputs and a splitter is the next best thing.

yes/no. it's all digital so pretty much yea, unless the extra cable makes you end up having some data loss.

That's not a 360 joke... why do people keep claiming that? Did none of you people ever play the first MGS? It's simply a joke about the advances in technology between MGS 1 and 4.

Quick Pre-order question. I pre-ordered the LE MGS4 a while back and the store I did it at isn't doing the midnight release, but they have a gamestop not even 2 minutes down the road that is doing the midnight release. Would I be able to get my copy there or have to wait till the next day and go to the one that didn't do the midnight release?

Call the store you preordered it from and ask, but I'd assume you have to wait til the store you preordered it from is open.

If you think about it, its only logical. If one person preordered at every gamestop, that's over 5400 preorders... If gamestop allowed anyone to pick it up at any store, stores would have to have at least that many in stock (5400?) at the BARE minimum..

People complain that it doesnt make sense that you can only pick it up at the store you reserved at, I find it hard to believe anyone can honestly believe its a possibility to do it otherwise...

I used to pre-order stuff from other Gamestops if I was out of town and pick it up at my local one later on. The manager has to call the other store to transfer your pre-order, but you'll still get a copy.

So, I was at wal-mart earlier picking up a Rx, and I waltzed my ass over to electronics for a valiant attempt at nabbing a PS3 early. I was informed that my entertainment and impatience was not worth this woman's job. They had six available for purchase on midnight of wednesday. I called the other walmart about 20 miles away. They also had six. I've already said that the TRU has 6. Quantities are undoubtedly very limited.

Whats up with that ring surrounding you the whole time and why cant they give him more sounds to make when he gets shot lol. I mean its blu-ray there should be tons of space right?...

The ring surrounding snake is a Threat Ring. This is snake's natural sense of where the enemy is. If you are in a ducked/prone position or you stay still the threat ring will show up on the screen indicating where enemies are represented by bumps (bigger bumps, bigger threat;tank, squads, etc.) If you are in full run/standing the threat ring will not display because snake is moving too fast to be completely aware of his surroundings. In Metal Gear Online, when I played as snake; this was extremely useful along with Snake's Solid Eye radar.

Overall, it's a very impressive technique as the closest we can feel to being in the game is having 7.1 surround sound and this just adds to the experience.

And yea, I think some of David Hayter's sound bytes are a little silly sounding. But in the other MGS games, snake would make only a few grunts as well-- This one just sounds bad when it's repeated over and over; and the guy that is playing usually sucks. Check out gametrailers, they added some sweet vids just recently.

Could lose his job that way, its falsifying a reserve as far as corporate is concerned. Awful nice of him, and good for you, but there's no way to actually do that, sort of them 'selling' you the reserve and then returning it, i.e. falsifying stuff, and the store that actually sells it has to do the same thing too. Bahhh.

Wish they'd let me do that, and some other things, sometimes, but bah.
