It feels weird for a while, getting used to the new CQC and aiming stuff, but after a while it feels really nice. Some of the fights are simply awesome with the new-ish mechanics. Graphics are beautiful and the sound/music are top-notch. Really helps with immersion. I wish my TV were bigger than 20", would look fantastic on a 40+". There is a good deal of weapon customization and even more weapons, using the different modes is easy and pimping out your gun is great. Everything about this game screams "I took my time". OctoCamo is cool, but kinda stupid to have to crawl or hug a surface to activate it, would rather it if you could change by manually pressing a button, or at least while crouching. Mk. II is really useful for scouting and taking out lone targets, Solid Eye is pretty much gonna be the most equipped item. very useful.[/spoiler:39a65awt]
[spoiler:39a65awt]If you go to the Camo Menu I believe you can switch the Octocamo form Auto to Manual and even use the menu option to register your current surroundings to the suit.
Weapon customisation is nice but I've not really played around with it yet, not even decided what weapons to keep >.>
Not even tried the MK.II yet
Solid Eye is brilliantly convenient.
And is it me or is this game way harder than other MGS?
When they said "No place to hide" they really meant it, one false move and the PMC are all over you.
And <3 to all the in-game jokes like when you find the Steel Drum.
Best part so far was when the Frogs show up soon after you meet up with Meryl. Loved that sequence.
And the Cut-scenes. Good Lords they are awesome.
Kudos to the Kojima too, the sneaky Bastard, I finished Act one last night and a lot of what was in all the trailers takes place then!
Looking forward to the rest of it.[/spoiler:39a65awt]
