[spoiler:2vvebhjh]Mantis doll allows you to control alive soldiers and you just toss back on the Sixaxis to cut the strings controlling them therefore killing them. Sorrow doll sucks ass and I can really only see using it control corpses to soak up some bullets.[/spoiler:2vvebhjh]Originally Posted by Wintermute

Forgot about the live/corpse thing...been trying to use Sorrow doll on live opponents since it's listed as blue and I'm going for a no-kill game.

Haven't played yet, only seen the gf mess with the training >_> Do you guys recommend getting a DS3 before I start?
You don't really need it if you don't want to pay for it. It's more fun playing with it though. (but nothing like MGS1 where you actually needed a vibrating controller..)
Act 3 Spoiler
[spoiler:3dss4rua]While not exactly awesome gaming, the Motorcycle section is super fun and really entertaining to watch[/spoiler:3dss4rua]
I'm going to mark this next part under a spoiler, though i don't really think it is one.
[spoiler:3dss4rua]I'm confused about one major thing in this game. If more or less all the soldiers in the game are hooked up to the system (aside from various rebels), wouldn't it stand to reason that it would be really obvious if you knock out or kill a lone soldier? I.E. it would set off warning flags to other soldiers of the faction, etc etc[/spoiler:3dss4rua]
I've been wondering this too.Originally Posted by Krandor
Finished earlier today, simply awesome. Well done Kojima.

not really a spoiler, but just in case...
[spoiler:2cf1z9nw]so, i was incredibly confused as to how to kill screaming mantis at first, and outta desperation.. tried changing controller ports..
and the codec conversation that followed was hilarious! i absolutely love the sense of humor in this game/series.
johnny's awkwardness and shittiness (literally) had me laughing every scene, and I was really sad when (it seemed like) he died
anyway, if you haven't, go try changing controller ports on the mantis fight...[/spoiler:2cf1z9nw]
[spoiler:2pxmhuwe]I cracked up when he reached for Mei Ling's ass.[/spoiler:2pxmhuwe]
[spoiler:1vim4kdh]When he made an attempy at Meryl's was pretty good too.[/spoiler:1vim4kdh]Originally Posted by Exoduso
Just beat it a couple of hours ago, game was epic, Especially the final Act. Game of the year without a doubt.
[spoiler:38gle5wi]Almost broke my thumb off during the microwave scene, gotta be one of the best parts of the game. The fight with Liquid/Ocelot is something I'll never foroget, and also wow@ Raiden fighting with no arms.[/spoiler:38gle5wi]
[spoiler:6n52u96o]Since it doesn't really make a difference, you didn't have to tap so hard and so fast lol... but oh well.[/spoiler:6n52u96o]Originally Posted by Cydewinder

Haven't quite finished yet, but I've been wondering...
[spoiler:1re3lx2t]Wasn't Shadow Moses supposed to have been bombed by the end of MGS1? I mean, aside from chasing Liquid out so he wouldn't escape, that was partly why Snake and Meryl were in a rush, no?[/spoiler:1re3lx2t]
They called it off, remember?Originally Posted by arus2001
Going to save Act 5 for tomorrow, but holy fucking hell @ Act 4. All the boss fights were great, and the cutscenes for the end were epic beyond belief.
