That is a little disturbing...It does have nice teeth though.

That's Solidus's head. =/
Best part about that face camo... once you get close enough for an enemy PMC to actually see your face they will start screaming.
They won't stop screaming until they pass out =)
Took me ages to figure out Vamp amazingly.Originally Posted by Krandor

I remember scanning my inventory for anything at all when I saw the Syringe: "What did I need that for again?", then I remembered the Cutscene with Naomi...
Turned out to be a great way of taking out Meryl during Mantis fight too.
Whilst on the subject of how useless my problem-solving abilities are, how are you guys getting past that last Gekko on Act 2? The one that blocks your way to the 'copter.
I can snake my way (lolpun) past the others but that son of a bitch always boots me into a corner and the follows up with another kick or a grenade whilst I'm stunned.
Only got past it unharmed once when it hopped infront of the barrier and I rolled past it, but every other time it spots me and I can't get past the bastard without taking a few hits since it refuses to move.
Chaff Grenade
Bleh, trying to save those, they're great for the last corridor in Act 5.Originally Posted by Krandor

You can find 2 chaff grenades in the jungle leading up to Naomi's Lab. I think there's 4-6 Chaff Grenades over the course of the game, which works out since you really only "need" to use them in the Corridor past Mantis and then optionally during the aforementioned Gekkos in Act 2.Originally Posted by Wintermute
Oh really? I only found the one in Act 4.Originally Posted by Krandor
Thought it was Kojima having a joke by putting that and the Socom in Act 4.
Had a giggle when I found what's been MGS 1 and 2s basic equips were only obtained so far into the game.
Did make me feel a bit nostalgic though.
Holy shit, I never used Chaff grenades, I didn't even think to use them during the last corridor in Act 5. I just kept rolling past the drones. xD
Same here, just spammed roll over/past the drones in Act 5... once i got done emptying nearly every clip from every gun into them =)Originally Posted by Auspice
For the Gekkos in Act 2... i had missed the prior Chaff Grenade as well, so I had to just run around them. On my no alert playthrough though i had more fun with them. I tranq'd a few of them (so they wouldn't just respawn right away) then blasted the two that basically block the run to the heli with teh Rail gun. =) I was there forever though my second time around, because i was trying to get them to destroy the first stall since there is an iPod song that shows up if they do... and it took FOREVER.
If you run at the stall and then back-up right away one of them charges/leaps right into it, I always leave the song behind because the Gekko always leap onto my face when I try to get it.Originally Posted by Graelinn
You can Tranq Gekko though? Didn't know that.
They're biomechanical, it takes 4-5 shots with the MK II to their legs (less if you target the backs of their knees) to tranq them, at which point they thrash around for 20 or so seconds before getting back up
I knew that much, it just never occured to me to Tranq them.Originally Posted by Krandor
Railgun is more fun.
EDIT: Anyone found a use for the BB Corps Face Camo? I tried wearing Laughing Beauty's during the Boss fight with her but it did nothing.
Anyone done any other testing?
Well, made it through act 1 at 1 hour 25. No continues/alerts/kills/food used, but my time sucked. >< [spoiler:t1xznddu]On Big Boss hard btw.[/spoiler:t1xznddu]
Did you skip cutscenes?Originally Posted by Poopfacekilla

yea. im wondering how it's so long as well (that's what she said).
some scenes are not skippable though unless i'm missing something. ive tried to press start on some but it doesnt take
Except for quickly tranqing a PMC after you get the Solid Eye/your gear/etc (to make the rebels friendly to you, so you can move thru their HQ quickly), don't waste time with any other engagements unless you absolutely have to.
Oh so true, I spent ages trying to get past that bit with the Tank and kept getting spotted since I was stopping to help the Militia.Originally Posted by Krandor
I know it will sound pretty nubish, but where do you get the camera?
