Silenced Sniper Rifle does the job. Shoot the stationary ones hanging around on the wall just scanning a particular area. You can sneak by the rest, they have real shitty aggro radius. They only aggro if they see you with their laser sight thing.

You can't get the max number on one playthrough i don't think. I think i had missed the one in Act 1, and then got that one and one other one on my second playthrough maxing out on six.

Hmm, i wonder... in the credits i saw "Voice of God - Hideo Kojima"... could that be him then? Or did i miss something else? I will have to try that out.

Not sure if this what what you were asking me about earlier, but the way i got my no alert in Shadow Moses:

    1) Hangar - outside in the snow, head up the stairs and crawl in the upper duct (the same one you crawled into in MGS1) and head all they way through it. You should eventually drop out near the top right corner of the map. Simply hang there until the patrol is moving away, and then drop down. Then jump over and hang on that rail and wait for the patrol below you to move away and then hop down and head into the corridor with all of the wall scanners.

    2) Everything Else? USE RAIL GUN! That is actually what i did on the rest of the level =) Gekko in the lab? Rail gun. Gekko after the lab? Rail Gun. The conveyor belt room... i rail gun'd every last piece of shyte gekko and mini-gekko in there then picked up everything laying around. Map after the Conveyor? Yep... Rail Gun. Since Cautions don't count as Alerts, you really only have to make sure that you are not SEEN firing the Rail Gun. Also, make sure you only fire fully charged shots... and save at every checkpoint in case of the unfortunate Gekko turning towards you as you are firing.

I just realized something cool, even though i'm sure people have noticed it before, but I did talk to a few people and they seemed to think otherwise. So at first, I thought that the grave Snake visits in the beginning & the end of the game is Frank Jaeger/Grey Fox's, but after finishing the game again the engraving pretty much gives it away that it's Big Boss's.

It reads: "A hero, forever loyal to the flames of war, rests in Outer Heaven 193X-1999"... even without the Outer Heaven part it's easy to make out, since Frank Jaeger died in Shadow Moses (2005), and Big Boss supposedly died at Zanzibar in '99.

As for the grave next to it ("in memory of a patriot who saved the world 192X-1964"), it's obviously The Boss's grave. BB even put flowers there at the end of the game, in the same scene where Snake supposedly shoots himself.

I think the reason that Meryl hates Campbell is because Campbell ended up sleeping with Meryl's mom (who would be Campbell's sister-in-law) to have her. That's what I guess because Meryl calls him "a womanizing piece of shit" before it's mentioned that he had married someone who was about her age (which happens to be Rosemary).

Oh, apparently the Metal Gear Database is out in the JPN PSN store, and should be up for NA/EU tomorrow. It has every term, every character, every location, etc. etc. in a MG game. Sounds pretty cool.

True, but Gray Fox was also though Dead at Zanzibar Land.

I agree that it is Big Boss's grave though. Don't really see anyone else being put next to the Boss, especially considering the Patriots would've put the grave there.

Look at the year 193X-1999. Frank was born around the Vietnam war.

I'm Running through a VGA Box that's on its last legs, can barely make out the Text on the Tombstone.
Not too up to speed with Metal Gear Lore and Retcons either. Need to do some homework when I go to work later.

But Frank Jaeger didn't die in 99... he died in Shadow Moses, I seem to remember a certain Metal Gear Rex crushing him. Frank didn't die in Zanzibar, Zero grabbed him and BB from there and they were BOTH barely alive. Naomi mentions that Frank barely survived Zanzibar as well (in MGS1), and because Snake handicapped her "brother" and killed Big Boss who took her in, she decided to get revenge on him with FOXDIE, etc. etc.

The grave is Big Boss's, even though it's empty heh. Isn't the graveyard a memorial graveyard anyways? I doubt Joy is buried there, so it makes sense that there is a grave for BB (and right next to hers.)

Also, according to the database Liquid WAS channeling himself through Ocelot in MGS2, through the nanomachines that were in that hand. After the Big Shell incident, however, Ocelot got rid of the hand and replaced it with a cybernetic part (which is what we saw at the end of the game when he takes his coat off), strongly suggesting that Liquid isn't really there anymore. The rest we know from what BB says at the end of the game, with Ocelot going through hypotherapy to assume the persona of Liquid so that the Patriots wouldn't keep track of his actions. This made it possible for EVA and Raiden to grab BB's body and replace it with Solidus's, and then taking parts from Solidus/Liquid to put Big Boss "back together". At that point he was just waiting for JD to be destroyed so he could wake up again.

Re: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots *contains spoilers*

Upon thinking about this 'grave' thing, I've concluded that the grave is Big Boss'-- Regardless of if his body lies there, which apparently, it isn't-- and snake is there to finish (commit suicide) what was started as Big Boss' legacy.

Big Boss' appearance gives snake the knowledge that his death was not necessary, as his blood (Big Boss) wasn't the reason for the many conflicts along with the knowledge that snake would no longer become a biological weapon as explained by Naomi.

Either way, my jaw dropped to the floor at that scene-- even though, I sort of knew it was coming.

Interesting, in the timeline of the database it says that Raiden was captured by the Patriots in 2012, a year after rescuing Sunny and leaving her in the hands of Snake and Otacon. It then says that EVA rescues him.

The Relationship Chart is amazing, too.

    Yay, was waiting for it.

Edit : Anyone confused on some story elements should download this, it helps fill in alot of blanks (it's free anyways, so no reason not to). For anyone concerned about spoilers with it (which granted if you've been reading this thread probably already spoiled for you), it locks out files that would spoil the story of MGS4 until you beat the game, at which point everything is available to read.

Yeah I thought that was pretty neat. If you beat MGS4 all you have to do is go to the options menu and choose to load the final MGS4 save that shows you beat the game, and everything else unlocks for you.

I like how the timeline and the charts fill in the gaps, and show where certain characters were during certain events.
