I assume its for proof that they actually did it and that it isn't just a picture from someone else.
Grats, I'm having the hardest time getting it done.

how do you do it? do you just reset the ps3 everytime got alert?
Fuck no, I just sat down for 3 and a half hours and did it, I'm HARDCORE!
Seriously, Pause > Save @ every single checkpoint
Alert = Pause > Return to title screen. Rinse repeat.
I guess it took me about a week to do it? Hardest parts were Frog palace (took a few hours), Motorcycle Chase (Still have no idea how I did that), and, oddly enough, the last fight against liquid. Took about an hour to get the patterns figured out. After that it was easy enough.
MGS4 is alot nicer about the whole process by not taking into account how often you save, which I know MGS3 did for alot of the upper rewards (I think MGS2 had it too)
Wow, nice Time Tyche. Finished my Chicken run last night stocked up on The Boss Extreme max non-lethal ammo levels (including emotion bullets, grenades, and magazines) and Solar Gun, so I'm good to go for my BBE run. Finishing that is going to suck, but I think the sneaking will suit my playstyle better. It was really hard to rack up all those kills, etc for Chicken.
what is chicken run?
For the Chicken Emblem, pretty much the "worst" designation you can get. Takes 35+ hours playtime, 50+ continues, 150+ alert phases, 500+ kills, 50+ health items used. It's a great emblem run to get a lot of the other emblems that aren't tied to difficulty or time, and can fit in with the Chicken Emblem requirements.
I had 0 Chaf's going in to my BBE run (although you get 2 at Shodaow Moses). Worst mistake ever. Make sure you have at least 4 or 5 Chafs for Shadow Moses. Without them, it's really fucking annoying.
they reset you down to the max amount you can have for TBE when you get all your gear backI didn't realize that until I was right outside the door for the MK II cutscene. So gay I stocked up on max ammo from a solid normal run just to have it all taken away.
Oh and Tyche, come get me past the beginning of Act 2. IDK why but that part always gives me trouble, more so than the damn bike chase
That the part where you start out on the cliff and they are holding the resistance members prisoner?
yeah that
Pop the PMC soldiers with the Mosin Nagrant (Do not use a lethal weapon) from the opening cliff. After you down 1 or 2 all the rebels will start fighting back and then eventually go clear the next area for you if enough of them are still alive.
it always seems like they wake up too quick for me to get past the area though, like by the time I'm behind the corner building they're already waking back up. Those rebels suck at killing sleeping guys for me
There's 2 guys to the right, I popped them first. Then I popped the guy that is closest to you (walking toward the cliff), then I pop the guy in the very back. After that, a guy will walk out of the door to your left and stop in front of the stump. I pop him. Then, there's 1 guy on the cliff that you have to walk up. I drop him from long distance and walk up the cliff. Once you get up the cliff it's just a matter of having really good aim and not getting a Caution. If you get a Caution it becomes really really hard.
Oh btw, Recuperi, do you have Emotion rounds for your Mk. 2? I like to take care of those guys in Act 2 with a Laugh round and watch them go and kill all their homies.
you know, I'm not really sure if I do. If I don't I suppose I'm gonna have to go back to that last save before the liquid fight to go get some![]()
Yeah, you can't buy any type of non-lethal ammo in TBE mode, so you have to stock up before you finish the Act V corridor sequence.
