And I have an off-topic (but PS3 question): I have a 7.1 receiver but I can't get 7.1 from MGS4 (it's all Ive tested, so dunno if i would get 7.1 from a Blu-Ray). When i play regular [non PS3] 5.1 stuff even the back 2 rear speakers play at the 5.1 level. but on MGS4 the rear speakers don't make a peep. Am I missing something? (and yes, its via HDMI cabled, ect ect).

I know I'm slow, I just don't get much time to play games in long spurts anymore...
I just finished Act 4 yesterday and damn... that was amazing... Game is so much fun overall, but aside certain moments it feels easier than MGS2. I have gone through the entire game so far and: #[maybe] only used 2 rations, & #aside weapon upgrades & unlocking a few pieces, have only used Drebin to by the tranq sniper. Granted I do trail and error until I don't need to use items... but still >_>

Trying for my chicken emblem and I need 35hrs of gameplay, i'm at 20hrs but when I leave snake alone against a wall or something the game doesnt count any time. Ive had him at the beginning of Act 5 for over 5hrs today and my time didnt go up at all.

Anyone know why this is? I could idle him back in Act 4 w/o any problems.

The wall one he can stay still, same with the kneeling one. I got those 2, the game though doesnt seem to want to let me get my 35hrs in. Ive had him idle onboard Ocelot's ship for a couple hours and yet when I look at how much time the game says i've spent it's saying a few seconds at most.

Are you quitting then checking through briefings? Because I don't outer haven has many checkpoints.

Also, I'm still loving MGO's TSNE. If anyone else loves it too, look for Riposte. Right now i'm ranked 85, aiming for -50. Those tops ranks seem impossible to catch up to. Kind of wish they didn't make it so that people who get an early start seem unstoppable.

Yeah, I've become completely addicted to TSNE, lol, I barely play anything else anymore.
I'm surprised there aren't more BG members playing, I swear there was a big thread when the beta was out.

I can finally post on this thread as I have beaten the game....

I was a little disappointed about the lack of actual playing done in the third and fifth chapters, but oh well...

If you save and quit to check your time before hitting the next check point all that waiting means nothing. The only checkpoints in Act V are after the elevator down from the deck, after each cutscene with the boss fight, and after the first corridor sequence, after that it's too late to add any more crouch time, etc. I did my wall hugs/crawls/couches/box time in Act I at the entrance of the Resistance hideout. This was a good point to do it since you can freely zone back and forth to force check points and check your progress. I suggest leaving the game on overnight in the positions you're working on. Also note that you get credit for crouching while in a box/barrel, or you can crouch and wall hug at the same time.

Yeah and it doesnt add any time. So I guess I just burn time up before getting the cutscene for Screaming Mantis?
