Sword(enhancing) +5
Hollow +3

Rdm casts Enblizzard II.

Rdm misses.
Rdm hits the Greater Colibri for 2 dmg. Additional effect damage 50.
Rdm: I PWN, I AM BREAKING YOUR PARSERS NOOBS!
The End.
If they wanted they could make the new enspells add sword skill or acc, kinda like they are doing with new pld spell upping block rate so you never know![]()

Considering if he's attempting to melee his gear is probably garbage (Even though they have access to PLN gear, Dusk Gear, and like everyone, Brutal, Suppa, Peacock, etc), Most RDM think by wearing a Scorpion harness and Venerer's ring they are uber DD...
a Shame, if only they put a little more effort... i know what my brother can do on occasions :\

The big key words to above posts is 'WELL GEARED' RDM.
How many melee RDMs do you know are "well-geared"?
They're usually in full AF with half-assed accessories that make next to no sense, or they're in full typical mage gear but wear a Scorpion Harness.
What we'll now see is people reading this thread and seeing the list of things to improve en-spell damage, getting it, and then wearing it full time.
-.-
Well, that's actually Puks... and Colibri are stupid magic resistant.Originally Posted by Jedimasta
Maybe Lamia Idolaters.
RDM hits the Lamia Idolater for 96 damage.
Additional Effect: Lamia Idolater takes 132 points of damage.
And they'll think they rock.

Refresh Breath... right. I can only see this following the same rules for Healing Breath, your Wyven would be targeting the first person in your party list with less than 50% MP. I hope that's not a melee who macros gear in and out for WS that affects MP, like THFs in Homam.
Without Enhancing Sword, I can get my add. damage pretty consistantly to 20 on EP to Even Match. (301 Enhancing skill, and I only have one merit in enhancing magic, its for upper tier Phalanx II.) So if it is true that you can cast Enspells II on other people, that could possible make meriting on rdm even more hellish than it already is >.>
It might happen. I mean look at PUP. It only casts Regen III if the mob is EM+, and a party member is at 50% HP. Any lower or higher and it'll cast Cure V. SE could just lazily copy this AI and change Regen to Refresh, the only drawback is what you mentioned, though. If people have with MP from gear that won't use it. Unless they restrict it to jobs that have a mage main or sub, it might end up just being Regen, making PUP that little bit more useless again. Ho hum.Originally Posted by Kkel

Giving up Joyeuse for Enhancing Sword is pretty silly. Sure, you'll get 5 more Enspell. I'll take another +20-21 50% of the time. The notion gets even sillier for Buzzard Tuck. Otherwise, even with Hollow's +3, I'd still take Ethereal for the same reason Suppa wins the DM war: More jobs can put the unique trait, in this case Damage > MP, to use than +enspell. Giving up an ACC ring for Fencer's is also a questionable call. Even with full merits and Suppa, you're still behind a BLU or PLD with the same investment and the former can easily trait himself further ahead.
I really find it hard to believe Enspell v2 could be more than anything than a toy for RDM soloing. If it's self-cast only, the damage would have to be absurdly high to make it worth using in XP. If they're targettable, there's no way you'd use them on yourself, you'd just add them to the Haste/Refresh cycle if they are worth it. As a toy, I can see it being useful for soloing some things, or just for shits and giggles.
enthunder II looks like chidori slightly.
