I just had this thought, partly because i just had some cough medicine, and partly because i'm bored, but isn't it kind of creepy that as they are leading their lives just colecting food, bonding and sleeping, we have pictures of them, are aware of their existence, and in less than a few hours have concucted numerous and bizzare yet hilarious scenarios involving their lives while they lie there ignorant of our ability to comunicate and see eachother throughout the entire planet at incredible speeds?

Gentlemen we have two options:

1.) have an Army surround them and force them to pay some sort of tax for living on land. (Note: between Brazil/Peru, so they'll tax them)

2.) send some christians there to push their religion on them.

Its hard to believe they've never actually seen a helicopter before, maybe they were really going WTF because it was just hovering while taking their pictures. I can think of many scenarios where a helicopter would be flying over them at some point(researchers, surveyors, etc.)

It seems hard for me to believe that they HAVE seen a helicopter before... If you were just some simplistic tribe and you saw this whirling machine of death hovering above you making noise you've never heard before, just there one day, for a few minutes, then gone, I think it'd be hard to go back to day to day life forgetting it ever happened...

It seems pretty likely to me they've never seen one before... The worst part is, imagine that tribe as we speak. The children, and whatnot. Hearing stories about these machines they saw flying. They have no clue wtf it is, where it came from, what's going to happen. To us, its just pictures of some people. To them, its probably a pretty monumental thing, and they're expecting something BIG to happen any second. Hmmm...

I actually feel bad for them, if I was in their shoes, I'd be shittin myself all over the place.

Assuming they have a religion. Remember, they are isolated and do not know the customs of the outside world. Religion may be an unknown concept to them, being ignorant of the world at large.

I think this is just buying into a fabricated media headline about a not-so unusual story on tribes living in the Amazon, closed off from modern man. If it read 'Amazon tribes still living in the Amazon' then nobody would read it.

I'm sure most people already assumed those stereotypical Amazonians who shoot blow darts are still surviving in the Amazon; as long as there's still trees. Having a story about the crazy notion that people still living the carefree life of runnin around naked with spears is 10x better with paparazzi pics from a helicopter scaring the shit out of them.

Its extremely unlikely they've never seen a helicopter over there, although, that doesn't make it any less terrifying to the tribes having one hover them. Besides, this story is basically fluff compared to the shit going down in Kenya. That is a good read with nothing short of National Geographic quality photos taken.
