    Power supply help

    Ok, here is my issue..

I need to connect a power source to my vid card, but there is only 1 free molex available from my PSU. Now my question is, if i buy a Molex Y-Adapter (Turns one standard Molex into two), then i buy a PCI-Express Adapter (Turns two standard Molex into one PCI-Express) is that gonna be a issue? I dont wanna fry anything by running power through to many adapters.

Also, this is the stock PSU from a dimension e520, Ive read that it can power a 8800 gts , any opinions on that?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Power supply help

You're concerned with shorting out your computer but you're using a stock PSU? ;x If it's like.. 500 or below, I wouldn't really risk it. A lot of people will say 500 is more than enough, but I wouldn't use anything below 600-650.
