Erm, that was a semantics error with my statement. I meant second best drop that only comes from Odin, of course abjurations are rare/ex too but I wasn't including those, my bad. @_@

I see a lot of people mention this. Can you elaborate on why it is so good? I have heard the procure rate is either 5% or 10% which would be decent but how much does it procure for?

It's not so much a "Hey, Hofud is great" thing. It's a "Hey, Valhalla items blow massive elephant dick" thing.

It is great for BLU, though.

They're COMPLETELY ueless if you have an Aegis (which you do). You realize you're capping magic defense -% with just Aegis and Shell V, right?

I want them, but mostly as just a symbol. I dont see the valhalla gear as uber tanking peices, especially since I have aegis. I see them as a really cool way of wearing a "yay we beat einherjar" title.

Besides, even if I did want to get the body piece for Whitegate towngear I still wouldn't because we have a policy on that. If I lotted the Breastplate I couldn't lot other Odin abjurations that run, and if I won a Breastplate there's a wait period before being able to lot Fork/Sword. So even though it might be neat to run around in, E.Body, N.Legs, P.Body, Fork and Hofud are all better.

Neat, so it may have a Tatami Shield effect, but that doesn't make it good, unless you're one of those who thinks Tatami Shield is better than Koenig?

Anyway it's more likely that it just makes you a Demon like someone in that thread said.

I use the body for town gear, Ichi cast if i'm gonna get hit during it, Oshit macro on DRK and WAR, -magic damage taken set (i dont have Aegis, so allows me to use volunteers ring or the +4 MDB solea while maintaining -26% magic dmg taken + shadow ring), and pretty much fulltime on heavy hitting mobs if i happen to go /WAR (Vrtra mainly).

We had a helm drop on our second Odin also, which i passed to our other main PLD. Dont get me wrong i think it has its uses.. but overall i would rather the shield skill on kaiser during an ichi macro or heavy hitting /WAR tanking, hence why i think body wins out.

Doesnt make much sense to add slow to an ichi recast, dont really care for either peice and just like therin wouldnt lot them for town gear, I have 12 75's, I need the extra space ;/
