I use the body for town gear, Ichi cast if i'm gonna get hit during it, Oshit macro on DRK and WAR, -magic damage taken set (i dont have Aegis, so allows me to use volunteers ring or the +4 MDB solea while maintaining -26% magic dmg taken + shadow ring), and pretty much fulltime on heavy hitting mobs if i happen to go /WAR (Vrtra mainly).

We had a helm drop on our second Odin also, which i passed to our other main PLD. Dont get me wrong i think it has its uses.. but overall i would rather the shield skill on kaiser during an ichi macro or heavy hitting /WAR tanking, hence why i think body wins out.

valhala gear will end up being like hauteclaire: at first everyone hates on it for being a shitty waste of a slot item with no use then once people slowly start getting them they will be the finest pieces ever to grace the body and head slots for pld

Sure, but as a PLD/NIN if I had an Aegis I'd use an MDB setup so that I could cure myself for additional hate, since I wouldn't be getting hit much if at all on the ground.

Shell V + Aegis + some MDB gear and you're looking at sub 100 per hit.
