It boggles my mind that Adult Swim allows such shit on their schedule like Tim & Eric and Fat Guy Stuck in the Internet after such an incredible half-hour of
comedy.

Adult Swim has been treading water for years a this point. Sometimes I think they will air anything. The Ventures Brothers is the only show I tune in for unless they're playing older Adult Swim shows (Home Movies, Mission Hill).

And I think Adult Swim will just air anything as long as they have a constant stream of new episodes airing [they don't care what they are]. Otherwise how else would they let Tom & Eric go for 3 seasons is it now? I wonder if people even watch that show...

Adult Swim was made to tread water; it always has. They give a lot of shows a chance. It's why we have both Venture Brothers (whose pitch failed to get major networks attention) and Tim and Eric. While Harvey Birdman was in its prime, we had 12 oz mouse. It's always been a land of innovative shows, both in good ways and bad ways. It's just hard to know until the shows are made.

I fucking love the Venture Bros, but I also love Tim and Eric ASGJ, and I have a few friends who love it as well. It's hilarious sometimes.

I had a friend who was a huge Tom Goes to the Mayor fan and I chalk it up to his love for Bob Odenkirk. You can see Tim & Eric around the Philly artsy-indy-college scene quite often. I just don't really get it. Bring back Space Ghost.

I liked Tom Goes to the Mayor, sure the first few episodes were slow but it started to pick up a bit towards the end. No idea why they scrapped it for the horror that is Awesome Show.

(I think every thread about a Cartoon Network show inevitably brings up bitching about Tim and Eric)

On that note, anyone impressed with Squidbillies? Same as TGTTM, the first few episodes bored me but the last, uh, season and a half? Fucking hilarious.

Except for the guy who voiced Aku. He's dead.

Sooo yeah there won't be more Samurai Jack unless they spin off the main story. Kind of hard to find someone who can do the Aku voice as perfectly and without that you lose the heart of the show.

The guy that voiced Aku (Mako) has such a distinctive voice, no one else can compare. He also did Uncle Iroh in Avatar: The Last Airbender, who was a kickass character.

The guys that did Samurai Jack have been busy with Clone Wars/Clone Wars movie for the last few years I think.
