Well, after having gotten to the last normal operation (outside of X) in TC: UTK2, I have to say... good God! 7-7 is hard as shit and barely pulled it off with 9 vitals and 10 seconds left and all of this on Normal mode. I am scared shitless what it must be like in X when I reach it...

Cinquler (sp?) battles in FFTA2.

One of the few missions where I had to restart several times, the one mission vs. all of them at the same time at level 99 looks like a grueling fight, especially with the HP Under 200 law hindering you from using and abusing raises.

I junctioned out full ultimas to most stats iirc. Aura I didn't try, don't really remember what it did.

I think I ended up keeping squall yellow and sac'ing for lion heart which was just unbelievably retarded for damage. I just remember him having a few moves that seemed to do 9999 no matter what I did. I think Phoenix saved me on my actual win.

Culex was hard the first times around since I liked to avoid fighting. Lazy Shell armor was the reason why I won. When I replayed for the 30th-ish time (fun fun) I decided to level up more and fight him without the shell. Wasn't that bad.

God yes, I remember Dario owning me the first few times I fought him in Chrono Cross. When you're prepared for him though, he's not too tough. Dual wielding those swords as Glenn makes it all worth it. He becomes the strongest char in the game, IIRC.

Shin Megami Nocturne III for PS2 was already mentioned, but I found that entire game's difficulty extremely hard. Every single boss fight for the most part was a struggle which either ended up me dying multiple times, resetting, or winning by the skin of my teeth.

Most of the bosses in Baldur's Gate 2. I hadn't really known too much about the D & D system then, (I still don't know all too much now, but enough to kill everything) and remember dragons completely oblitirating me. Irenicus was such a hard battle as well. I forget how many times I had to reload. On normal difficulty too. Game can still be hard sometimes if you get a bad roll against you.

Ninja Gaiden 2 for 360. Just about everything in this fucking game is ridiculous. I've played hard games before, but Ninja Gaiden 2 is downright cheap. I beat it once, and I am never playing it again. Fuck that game. Any boss that can take 75% of your life bar in 1 hit is retarded. On normal at that.

I'm still trying to get a copy of Nocturne. Looks/sounds really good and actually hard to boot.

You just had to be plain lucky to win, even if you prepared yourself the best you could (with dark absorbing armor and what not)

Are you kidding me, if you beat all of the friendly monsters (well not beat but give them the gems they want) then Ozma is no longer long distance, so your normal hits will get him. If your party is anything but Zidane, Amarant, Freya, and Steiner, then you'll probably lose. You don't need to be max level, i beat him on one file with all lvl 60s doing about 7000~ per hit unless it was a special move.
Make sure everyone has auto life, auto haste, auto potion, auto regen, counter, etc. all that good stuff and he goes down in like, 60 seconds. It's basically zerging him without giving him a chance to attack you. And if he does anyone that got hit should be at full HP in a matter of seconds.

(The only way he's considered really hard is if you didn't complete the friendly beasts, and if you wear the tropical armor sets on everyone instead of their real armor)

Most of the bosses in P3:FES were pretty hard, but the fights at the end were almost impossible unless you were overleveled or used cheap spells (like Odin's thunder spell that almost always knocks enemies down)... strangely, the final boss was really easy.

Dude SNK final bosses are the HARDEST! They're cheap, their special have rediculous priority and take up the whole screen, and do a shitton of damage..

You can prepare for this guy and memorize every attack he does and he can still fuck you over whenever he wants.

Don't even get me started on a level one playthrough since any attack he does kills you anyway
