They really are two totally different types of games. I can see liking one and not the other. Persona 3 has a heavy emphasis on the character's story development and interaction with teamates/Social Links with a bit of dungeon via Tartarus, ect, while Nocturne has heavy emphasis on character and team customization with basically the whole world being a dungeon (if you aren't in a shop/healing area/save point you can get attacked, even inside most town areas) but isn't focused on story intricacies as much. I always wondered why some SMT fans were dissapointed by the Persona series until I played both, but I personally liked them being different, because they don't feel like sequels or same-old. The monsters and item names are about the only big similarities I can think of.

Well P3 has a lot of fighting too, it's just built differently I guess.

The Answer was basically ALL fighting, with the exception of 2-3 minute cutscenes every 10 floors/door... I still liked it though because it built off of Journey.

Well, I was thinking more of main game stuff. You can't do Tartarus more than a few times a "week", and there's the bigger bosses once a "month" and the endgame stuff. The Answer is a bit different from the rest of the game, and is the main "SMT" hard stuff apparently. Nocture was basically a lot like the Answer when it came to that.

I'm always a fan of the many forms of Ragu from the Wild Arms series, even though most usually come down to exploiting some cheap trick then actually being hard.

lolol...yes. So many hard fights in that game tho, but the entire game being so epic.. wow i miss it. Also just the entire end portion of the game, where your in the final dungeon, (whatever it was called). Every random battle you got into was practically a boss battle, and could kill you so fast if you werent prepared. Not to mention fight with Teepo when he turns into a dragon, and Goddess wasnt especially easy either.

The part in Xenogears when the element girls split up and you take them on 2vs2 in different spots. Tower of Babel and can't remember where else. Had to fight them like 3 times each and by the third fight you had almost nothing left was such a pain in the ass especially the 2 in the tower.
