I've made like 7 characters to test and have yet to fail on full set of the first armor, I think the first set/weapons are 100% chance of success.Originally Posted by Maguspk
Yes, you can and will fail a lot of the sets after though. <_<

Looks a lot like Guild Wars. What's the gameplay like? Worth waiting for the download on DSL?
patching takes forever and lagging up my ffxi![]()
I think the gameplay is pretty good, then animations are smooth and look pretty cool imho. I've played several of these "F2P" games and I dare say this is the only one I've gone higher then level 10 on.Originally Posted by Day

Samanosuke, make sure you do another file check after the first patch to double check it downloaded all of the patches. Sometimes it doesn't download all of them at once for some reason.
Now that I've played this, I realize it's nothing but a pussified version of Lineage II.
I SHALL PASS!

I just need an RPG/MMO fix, FFXI fails and I need something to fill the void it created in my spare time.
does it have windowed version?
EDIT: Whoops, wrong game. Does alt+enter work?
It's a decent game, had fun with it for a little while. There's nothing in the design to really make it any better than the other hordes of MMOs out there, it has all the same problems most of these MMOs tend to have (mostly because they love copying each other's mistakes), but it wasn't absolutely terrible either. Their refining system really fails pretty hard though.

its ok i guess, pretty good for free id say. My char is Wiegraf on torian level 17 or 18 knight if anyone wants to add me
I just tried a VIT build today and I can tank like a motherfucker but the grind is slow as hell, I'd need a constant party for it to be any good.
Juro and Charis you guys weren't on when I made my character this afternoon but maybe we could setup a party or something that way we can level faster. If I go pure VIT I'd be virtually indestructible but I can't solo for shit because the cooldown on FFS is too long and low STR/DEX means my melee hits will hit for low when they do hit. Let me know. Maybe I can just be another class though like a Warlock or something.
I haven't been on since the first time I tried it out... got too bored soloing on White Mage.
Speaking of L2, is it worth buying/playing these days? I be bored
I played L2 private servers for a bit and got bored after awhile. Didn't seem worth it to even not pay for.
High level (80/75+) has some really great content if you're into politics and open world PvP. Wars, Sieges, Epic raids, and Olympiad (depending on server) are all a ton of fun. The downside is that getting to that point now is a very long and boring task. The chances of you even seeing another player before level 20 is slim to none. You'll most likely be soloing until at least 52, but most likely 61. 61+ is a grind like I've never seen in another MMO. Once getting to 75, finding people to help with subclass quest is nearly impossible. Without subclass, you can't be Noblesse. Without being Noble, top tier alliances won't take you, and therefore you'll be left out of the awesome part of the endgame. Instead, you'll get small-scale PvP in fortresses, and shitty instanced raids like Frintezza.Originally Posted by MisterBob
I have quit L2, and haven't updated my sig here in a long time, but warring with other clans/allies and holding Schuttgart for a long time were some of my favorite times in an MMO.
it has crit build sin![]()
reminded me of my RO days
Crit Sin is insane, your crits go from like 80~ dmg to 500+.Originally Posted by SamanosukeShiva
