    Knights of The Round?

Yeah, pretty interesting though, and since I haven't seen it mentioned yet: the unused monument thingies will clearly be the spawn points.

storyline wise, these NMs are a perfect reason to add ToAU AF2s. they could be ancient, powerful monsters who were around since Immortals were using their best armors and so on.
this, or we'll either get ToAU AF2s together with DNC/SCH ones once they unlock WoTG northlands and the whole Hydra Corps thing.

It's curious they are already putting a limit over points/hour, meaning that maybe you'd have to grind on something to get those

    Re: New Notorious Monsters (06/04/2008)

NM battles have been one of the most popular elements of FFXI since its launch. Nothing stirs the adventurer's soul quite the same way as cooperating with dependable comrades to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds, with rare equipment drops being the very tasty icing on the cake.
When I read this I was filled with RAGE. Then I read the rest and realized it was amazingly awesome. I guess WoTG still has endgame events for us even though people were pretty much sure they weren't. Now nobody can say WoTG has no endgame seeing how they pulled this out of their ass completely.

Either way, super awesome. I approve.

Blueberry Pld with one hand pulled back holding a shiny white sword?

I have others effects off, have for a while, but I didn't recognize any 1h sword WSes that had the little ring effect like that.

I don't see why SCH and DNC can't get AF2 from this new thing. They're getting weapon from it, surely (remember, their primitive weapons were added to Nyzul Isle).

The new NMs will probably have something to do with upgrading Nyzul Relics, along with other gear. But one thing that confused me:

In order to maximize flexibility in participant numbers, in most cases the target to which you trade triggers in order to gain entry into battlefields will be located in field areas.
Are there any unused battlefields or areas left? Or are we gonna be fighting for entry and waiting for other groups to exit before we can fight ours (that's how BCNMs work right?). Instanced? *shrug* I'd be happy if they were just open in places like Alzadaal, gives more kiting room. ;p

I think I'll reserve my judgement on this one until after the update is released.

Doesn't really matter if you're adding 50 new pieces of equipment if the majority ends up being crap (hello Hydra).

There are a few unused islands around. But I wouldn't be surprized if there was a few in Alzadaal, seeing how the zone has alot of empty spots around.

Are both Sky and Sea really that busy on servers that this needs to be done ?

Looks to be a very nice addition to the update, hopefuly the items will be r/e. Maybe this is a way to get new people to the game more involved in activities post 75.

    Adding more 21-w.e hour NMs doesnt really resolve anything when ls' exist that are capable of camping all of them all day every day, more instanced based events {Yes Please}

Ohhh, POL site is blocked in work, could anyone rehost the images for those in a similar situation?

They're talking about the difficulty of the mobs, and the pop system I presume.

Not saying they're adding sea/sky mobs.

Less talking about the topic, more Knights of The Yukikaze speculation.

I am never getting to sleep again. Ever. ; ; best update. I worry though, it says cost goes up if more people want it? Does that mean spammed NM's will be a fortune in points?
